Many gays in the past married straight women and had kids to fit in. Your question should be did out gays have more kids in the past.

True observation R1. I also think that being out can (and often does) change over one’s lifetime and under various circumstances. My guess is that your proposed question might lead to an intense 400 reply thread on the meaning of being ‘out’, which I would find boring…so at the risk of loosing specificity, I kept it simple.

Not in this lifetime. I like kids but I don't want to raise them. I'll settle for loveable animals instead!!

Hopefully more gay couples will be able to whore out impoverished women's wombs to preserve their genetics! Maybe they'll even be able to rent male surrogates because women pretending to be men are totally healthy and not nutcases.

Most gay men don’t want kids, unless they come from some immigrant or religious background where children are heavily emphasized.

I have zero interest in parenthood but of course there are more (openly) gay parents now.

George Takei has said if he was younger, he and Brad would have kids.

R6, why would time be a special constraint with gay boomer parents? The children of (not gay) boomer parents I know are adults, with jobs, and no longer live in their parents’ homes.
