I think it has a lot to do with her body type - she's got a strong, athletic frame (and amazing broad shoulders) from her earlier dancing years, and that gives her a sense of power and ass-kicking potential ideal for roles where the character needs physical strength. I much prefer when they cast athletic actresses for athletic roles, rather than stick-thin women who look like they couldn't snap a handful of dry spaghetti (an exception allowed for the amazing Bridget Fonda in Point Of No Return).

What's worse is casting actors (m & f) for dancing roles when it's obvious they have as much grace as John Goodman trying to crawl out of a bathtub.

She's a Democrat church lady soccer mom, though. Much less restrained and more open-minded than the regular church lady soccer moms.

I've always liked her not for any particular reason except Ina Garten likes her.

I met someone who worked with her recently. Said she was a genuine, kind woman. I was glad to hear it as I always liked her. She was awesome on Alias and in Peppermint. I love that she she has this dual personality where she is this sweet woman who can also kick your ass. She'd make a great drug dealer as no one would suspect her!

Alias and Peppermint both catered to right-wingers. They had to know what they were doing - even if they're not right-wing themselves.

I never saw Alias and had no memory of her from Felicity, so I first saw Jennifer Garner in Catch Me If You Can. She was playing a pretty prostitute who hooked up with Leonardo DiCaprio’s character. And she was this big, muscly, no-neck, Greco-Roman wrestler body. She looked so unattractive and I so confused.

Back when Alias was a big thing, she had this bikini scene that was advertised as this super sexy, mouths go agape thing and man, she had no tits and yes, a strange body. And the post superbowl episode featured her in dominatrix lingerie. She really was the sex symbol of the early 2000s.

R8 yep I remember that scene, I alwayy feel sorry for the escort she played, I don't remember the exact numbers, but she was asking for something like $800 for sex, and "Leo" told her he only has a check of $1,000. She took a look and said you can endorse that check to me, and I will give you $200 back and a deal was made, she gave him $200 cash...but that check was a counterfeit, so not only she offered him free sex but lost $200 too. 😂

I can’t stand her. She’s like a grown-up Laura Ingalls Wilder as played by Melissa Gilbert.
