It's basically Disneyland with a historic gloss. The Rockefellers wrote a big check, and they created the thing out of a few restored buildings and some that were basically fabricated out of whole cloth.

Williamsburg is beautiful! I know that winery — actually there are a couple nice wineries in that area.
I had family in Williamsburg for years but that’s all done now and I wish I appreciated it while they lived there; I kind of dreaded the yearly cross country trip but now that I am older I appreciate how great that area is.

There have been wineries in Virginia back to colonial times. Thomas Jefferson had a vineyard at Monticello.
