Is Margot Robbie a good actress or is she just coasting on being pretty?

I think she was great as Harley Quinn in those stupid comic-book movies. And no, I don't mean that as faint praise!

She was lively, she was sexy, she nailed a varied American accent, she had great comic timing, she had enough charisma to steal a movie from Will Smith, she made a villainous antihero fun to watch, etc. And when faced with the ultimate test of an actor, a script as bad as "The Suicide Squad", she passed - that is, when she was on she made that mess seem less awful than it was. So far, thumbs up from me.

I think she is a solid, consistent actress, and being pretty doesn't hurt. Controversial opinion, but I think Jennifer Lawrence is a great actress who between Weinstein and overexposure, set herself back. Robbie is prettier, Lawrence is more talented.

R17 Charlize, Michelle P, Sharon Stone were all pretty women and Grace Kelly gorgeous, but Margot Robbie is just bland.
