Martell was really good in the It movie(s), and the kid whose little brother is chasing the paper boat and gets snatched by Pennywise. It was good casting having him grow up to be James McAvoy. I could see it.
I saw Knives Out as well, but I didn't care for that. Rian Johnson needs a co-writer.

I actually knew of his father before I knew of Jaeden.
Jaeden's father is Chef Wes Lieberher, and he was on Diner's, Drive-Ins, and Dives with Guy Fieri. He worked in this small restaurant in Koreatown, after moving to Los Angeles from Philadelphia.
Guy was really impressed with his cooking.
Interestingly, when Jaeden first started out in acting, he went by Jaeden Lieberher.
I guess he felt that his name was too hard for people to remember, so he changed it to Jaeden Martell, which is his mother's maiden name.
His mother is half Korean, and she and Jaeden's father divorced a long time ago. He now has a new wife and kids.

He made a big mistake changing his name from Lieberher to Martell.
People are going to see that as fake, and as disloyal to his father and his given name.
Plus, people know him as Jaeden Lieberher from the IT movies, and not Jaeden Martell.
It's just weird to change your name, mid-career.
