Howard Stern hasn't left his house for two years

He’s left his house many many times, just not to socialize or dine out. He regularly visits his parents (dad died earlier this year). He’s been afraid of covid and actually to his credit has never gotten it. He has a beautiful house, wife and life that enables him to do this, and doesn’t really like being with people other than his wife , so good for him.

He is a handsome man. If he wasn't a radio icon, he could have been a great male model.

I started listening again last month after an extended hiatus and it was just as I suspected...Howard is still trying to build nearly the entire show around Ronnie Mund, who is supposedly retired and living in Vegas yet still makes up a good 85% of the show's content.

This clip of Wendy always cracks me up. She was choking on Mountain Dew so they set it to music.

It's still shocking how much of the show is forced to center around Ronnie the Limo Driver who sounds completely out of it now. His move to Vegas has really aged him both mentally and vocally. They reported he sat in a sport's bar and downed 10 gin & tonics in one sitting.

COVID has killed this show. It well past the time they could be back in the studio, but Howard just doesn't want to leave his basement. Half the fun of the show was all the staff drama, fighting, and stupid gay stuff they would do in the studio. Without that the show is just a shell of what it was. And now it's just Howard telling the same stories about his parents and lots of bad impressions. I cringe every time there is a 'knock at the door' - that's some hacky Morning Zoo shit that Howard would have endlessly mocked other shows doing.

And the Ronnie stuff is annoying - no one wants to listen to septuagenarian sex capades.

I usually tune in when I get in the car, but finding myself switching the channel more and more and sooner and sooner.
