I think Cristela Alonzo sort of has. I used to be fan of her standup comedy. But, I remember her ABC sitcom wasn't all that great. It had decent ratings for a Friday night show. After her show was canned, she started making comments in various interviews saying that ABC didn't promote the show enough and that she was seen as difficult by others who had worked on the show. Something about her attitude just started to turn me off. A few years later, she gets a voice role in Cars 3 which gives her attention for awhile and her first Netflix special came around that time. I thought her first Netflix special was quite bland and corny. Having a role in Cars 3 didn't help her career in a major way. She manages to get small roles in things here and there. Her second Netflix special came out recently and it was hilarious how a bunch of media outlets were promoting her and acting if she's a huge name in comedy and she still whines about her canned sitcom.
