Yeah Daddy Lloyd always played the distinguished guest star in 1970s dramas.

I always got him mixed up with the other sexy actor in the 80s and 90s - Hunt Block (who was a regular on 'Knots Landing' from 1985-87). Both men have aged well, IMO.

Getty Images says that R2’s pic is actually from June 2022 so very recent. This is a photo from 2017 in which he looks somewhat more put together.

Lloyd played a gay man in a telefilm about residents of some fancy high rise in Los Angeles. His character was married but had a male side piece, played by a very handsome guy who had a high pitched femmy voice. Can’t remember what the film was called. I think that it was a pilot that didn’t get picked up.

First fell for him in Islands In The Stream. He played George C Scott 's son. He rode a sea turtle and was killed by the evil Nazis. I remember sobbing when he died beautifully smiling. My 12yo self didn't think it fair that dreamy Hart should die and ugly hairy old George should survive. Hemingway said "Life is unfair" .

His portrayal of Jake in TV version of The Sun Also Rises was painful. He's trying to do Hemingway without ellipsis.
