Continuing over from the last thread / some things thatve been said in the Kit thread: between Alice whinging about “heavy emotional days” on IG and twt in the evenings post filming, and Kit, Yaz, and Kizzy all being spotted or posting clearly not from slough several weekdays over the past few weeks, it seems like at least these first few weeks of filming are very Joe heavy (either that or they’re really building out Isaac’s asexuality which I pray isn’t the case).

Alice was pretty adamant about showing no self harm in the comics and aside from admitting to self harm/ED, the fainting scene, and a few panels alluding to things “getting bad” for Charlie re inpatient therapy, the rest was focused on recovery. Wondering if Netflix made her add to or develop that? I genuinely get not showing self harm etc. onscreen but showing him having depressive episodes and refusing to eat etc would honestly make the storyline better (and as a Joe fan I want him to get the opportunity for heavier material).

For a TV audience I think you need to show it more. In the comic all Charlie's issues were rather sudden, not exactly out of nowhere, but I'm not sure people really thought Charlie had all these massive issues.

I trust Joe and Eros to make these scenes great. Interesting Alice is the one stressed about it.

Hopefully, she’s trying to finish the s3 scripts while they’re filming s2 and that’s what’s adding to her stress level.

Alice is always, always overwhelmed and posting about it so I’m not taking it as a sign about the show in particular right now. Regardless, I’m thinking some of the volumes will be stretched for the show this season and one of the things we’ll see more of is Charlie’s hospitalization and disorders in general. Sprinkling in more buildup really should be easy. They were able to add foreshadowing last season pretty subtly and organically.

R8 Joe has a really dynamic face. There are a lot of verrrry accurate comparisons of him to the comic but I actually don’t think it’s that he looks so much like the drawing; I think he’s just very expressive and makes a lot of the same little faces.

Does Alice have a girlfriend?

R13 she’s said she’s both asexual so no sexual interest, and aromantic so no interest in a romantic relationship. So doubt if

R19 not sure if you’re replying to me but yes I do think people know themselves more with time and what you identify as changes as a result. Ex, I said I was bi for a few years as a teenager before figuring out I was gay. I also do think asexual and aromantic people can exist; I’m not one but I don’t doubt they’re real. The issue to me is not Isaac being asexual and aromantic, it’s that I do not understand something saying outright “you can be asexual and aromantic and still want and enjoy sexual and romantic relationships”. Having a lower sex drive or being somewhat apathetic to seeking out romance but being open to both seems to just be part of normal human variation rather than specifically asexuality etc. Of course you can disagree with that, but that’s my take.

The character of Alad, that Isaac replaced in the show, is demisexual in Radio Silence. I agree with R19 that a spectrum of sex drive is normal, and we probably don’t need this many labels for every possible nuisance. But according to Alice via Radio Silence, a demisexual person can only feel attraction to someone they care about very deeply. Alad’s childhood best friend was gay and loved Alad, so Alad loved him back. But Alad didn’t identify as gay, he only loved his best friend.

I have no idea how that type of aroace/demisexual romance could be introduced between Isaac and James, since they aren’t already close. Hopefully, James is just a bicurious character similar to the books. Isaac has a very short, I’m aroace and just want to read my book storyline, and we never actually see anything between James and Isaac at all.

The actor who plays James is another seemingly openly gay newbie. I am slightly suspicious (and hopeful) that the James/Isaac storyline rumors are actually Brad/Tobie closeness, not character closeness. A relatively small part coming in at s2 will never gain the following the leads have. But if Brad becomes besties or boyfriends with Tobie, he can have lots of airtime on the vlogs and become a fan favorite that way.

Joe hasn't followed back the actor who is playing James. Maybe the rumors of him being Isaac's love interest are true.

An unrequited crush on Charlie and a jealous Nick storyline would have been such a better storyline than this aroace one.

Hard to judge their storylines from who follows them really. Everyone is following him but Joe and Bash. Joe, Kit, Rhea, Jenny and Tobie follow Jack Barton and everyone besides Yaz follows Nima Taleghani

R37 In the extra's video Bash was shown a the filming of the meeting for the Paris trip, so I'd guess Ben is included in it along with everyone else. Since he doesn't magically disappear like he did in the comics than the whole school should be there.

If Alice had any sense of drama she'd have Nick say the "are you jealous" line straight to Ben's face.

R39 well, Joe might care. Ben will definitely be at least in the background of some Paris scenes. I think R35 question was more, did Bash head to Paris the same time as Joe, or will he wait to come over with the rest of the cast next week. Even if we never see photo evidence, I’d be shocked if Bash doesn’t come to Paris this weekend, if Joe’s there with some time off.

R45 I’m guessing that’s probably what they were filming there. The Louvre is closed to the public Tuesdays so I presume they’re filming there this upcoming Tuesday; no clue how they’re going to manage an Eiffel Tower shoot as it’s open 9am to midnight if I remember correctly.

Alice has posted a few stories on Instagram in the last few hours in Bath - so either she's trying to throw us off the scent, or she isn't in Paris and Joe and Kit are just filming basic 'we're in Paris' pickup shots for now. I reckon the main filming will start on Monday - and good point about the Louvre being closed on Tuesdays.

Also, I wonder if that was just a rehearsal in the TikTok video? Kit/Nick doesn't look very smiley.

Someone mentioned on twitter that Fisayo Akinade ( Mr. Ajayi) is performing in The Crucible at the National Theatre until early November, though he does have Sundays off. Doesn't really seem like he'd have to be in many of the Paris scenes though. His big moments could be filmed anywhere. They aren't going to film all the hotel crap in Paris anyway.

Usually they dont reveal much anyway cause I either it's just characters walking or you can't hear any dialogue. I guess they could block the scene somehow but do crews do that? The creators and actors should appreciate the interest in them filming a small section of the show as long as people don't get in the way.

The Tara actress took a selfie day one of filming of just her and Yaz’s faces in a close up - none of the costume (though we already know what the uniforms look like) or background/set was shown and yet she deleted it 8 min later and liked a tweet suggesting she’d been reprimanded for it. They’re being incredibly anal about any reveals, which is their own business on closed sets but is absurd in public. Anyway, all the accounts screeching at people not to share the video are still sharing the above comic page showing them in the outfits; clearly they’ve all been to see the tiktok and want both the knowledge and the moral high ground.

From what I remember it’s Tao and Elle that go off on their own and Nick and Charlie stick with Tara, Darcy, Sahar, Aled but I’d have to go back and check.

R71 There aren't really any when they are alone. Nobody even finds out they are dating until the Paris trip is mostly over.

Though they aren't shown actually getting off the bus I don't think or could be an added scene.

There are a few scenes if I remember correctly after Charlie passes out where he and Nick go sit together so he can eat something and then explore a bit themselves. If they’re going out of sequence that could be these scenes. If I had to guess, I’d say Tuesday will be the craziest filming day - technically the tao and Elle date happens when they split off to go to a different museum, but given the difficulties of coordinating another museum visit/filming and the sheer size of the louvre I’d guess they’ll change it to those two splitting off to see a particular exhibit and having their romantic moment. Then Charlie needs to roam around with the others and have his passing out scene; so if Elle and tao are filmed at the louvre instead of another museum, having Kit and Joe do the post passing out scenes in advance would make some sense.

Seems a couple of the rugby boys are in Paris this evening, based on a few insta stories. So either they're just having a weekend here before filming next week, or they've been filming too.

R74 Yeah, you are right after he passes out there are a couple scenes with nobody else around. He takes Charlie to go eat something and Nick talks to his dad in French (good luck Kit) then a little while later they are alone with Elle/Tao having their own little date shopping.

R75 Those scenes are all in the Louvre, they eat at a café there (Cafe Mollien) and never leave the premises.

Kizzy posted in a going out outfit from what looks like a hotel room and most of the rest of the supporting cast (Yaz, Bash, Tobie, Rhea) commented immediately so I’m guessing they are all there in Paris.
