Rapper Central Cee explains trending song that proclaims “How Can I be Homophobic; my Bitch is Gay”

Central Cee has said that he is not homophobic and clarified lyrics to his recent hit ‘Doja’.

In a video with Genius, the British rapper broke down the meaning of his viral song.

In particular he addressed the lyrics: “How can I be homophobic?/My bitch is gay/Hit man in the top/Try see a man topless, even the stick is gay/Huggin’ my bruddas and say that I love them/But I don’t swing that way.”

The rapper explains: “It’s literally what I say. I’m not homophobic. My girlfriend is bisexual. She was like the first gay person I really communicated with.”

Cee then talked more generally about homophobia, saying: “I feel like homophobia is almost embedded in the culture of rap music. Even just like the hood, it’s quite known it’s embedded in us to shine up on which I don’t think is right.”

He concluded by saying: “Personally I think homophobia is so weird like why do you care what other people are doing. I’m definitely against homophobia”

‘Doja’ has quickly become Central Cee’s biggest hit to date after it went viral on TikTok following its release in July.

It hit number two on the UK charts and also became Central Cee’s first song to chart in the US.

He’s trying the Eminem route, well…it worked. Eminem’s homophobia is what put him on the map. Homophobia works.

Homosexual hate is back bitches !!! And regaining acceptance

by Anonymousreply 2September 30, 2022 12:31 AM

But he's not homophobic

by Anonymousreply 3September 30, 2022 12:33 AM

Moron say's he's not moronic.

To the point of r1 and r3, Alec Baldwin isn't homophobic either. He just screams the f-word when he gets pissed off at photographers. And he's had a marvelous comeback since 30 Rock!

I mean he’s an idiot. Homophobic anti-gay men usually watch a lot of lesbian porn so his point just goes out the window because his girlfriend is bisexual. That’s no surprise.

by Anonymousreply 6September 30, 2022 5:14 AM

I still don't know him at all.

And Eminem isn’t homophobic. If you listen to his music, he’s as homoerotic and he was homophobic. The blurred line was always apart of the humor of his music. There was always intentional irony.

I'm so over this type of bro. They were more common in the '90s/00s.

Eminem’s nude shots with David LaChapelle was like the hottest thing for me as a young gay kid. He was so popular at that time, that was like my Farrah Fawcett poster.

Describe what a closeted bi guy looks like

by Anonymousreply 13September 30, 2022 8:14 AM

He's a homophobic douchebag.

by Anonymousreply 14September 30, 2022 8:32 AM

A closeted bisexual looks like a male who is a little too keenly aware of his own sex appeal past the usual masculine bravado, machismo - puffy lips, curly locks, sleepy eyes. His overall presentation will cast a wider net to appeal more than just to the opposite sex. They tend to highlight male beauty, their looks, over strength.

He sounds precisely like a British rapper

by Anonymousreply 16September 30, 2022 8:46 AM

And calm down girls. The line isn’t about US in the song. It’s just a means for him to brag that he has a girlfriend who is bringing other girls around for him to fuck. He’s bragging about supposedly having threesomes with two women. Don’t take it so personally.

by Anonymousreply 17September 30, 2022 8:53 AM

Exactly. Young bi and gay dudes certainly aren’t offended and are blasting the song on their social media accounts too . It’s not meant to be offensive

Cute
