Gay men are conditioned and know how to survive from an early age. We recognize at the onset that we need to either get a good education in order to make good money in a long successful career, or be self employed. Also, home ownership is important so no one can deny you accommodations or evict you just for being yourself, or with a partner, or endless lovers, or whatever your lifestyle. The average straight person is convinced that gay men have lots of money. Well yes, when we work for it and financially plan ahead over time, and do not have kids we can not afford or want, or a marriage/relationship we do not wish to be involved in... Those things, and bad personal choices, are some of the big money drains over a lifetime. We all have to make good personal choices, gay men are no different.
