Trump is saying publicly that he declassified all these documents, but in legal filings, he's been deliberately not mentioning it at all. There have been various theories about this, the most popular one being that he knows he can't prove he didn't declassify things, so he's not going to set himself up for an obvious loss in court.

Cannon, however, is so stupid that SHE brought up his claim of declassification in her own filings, which is how the special master was able to bring it up on his first day.

Then when Trump's attorney appeared before Judge Dearie and refused to provide proof of declassification, he got scolded and told "oh well, then we're going to proceed as though they were never declassified."

That is a huge, huge problem for Trump, and he brought it all on himself. He filed in Cannon's court because she was in his pocket, but she's also incompetent, so she hurt his case. He asked for Judge Dearie as special master and found out too late that Dearie was not automatically in the bag for him, and now his case is even more damaged.
