Growing up in Malibu prosperity, Pushaw dove into international relations in college. And after graduating, she relocated to sunny Tbilisi, Georgia, for two years. She speaks passable Russian and Georgian. She lobbied to and for the Georgian government, and served as a sort of backchannel between American Republicans and Georgia's rocky, semi-democratic system. She was paid handsomely for these lobbying efforts, per the Washington Post.
But she is most famous today for her work as Ron DeSantis' chief hatchet-person. She's as black-hearted as she is blonde, frequently roasting journalists and activists on Twitter for daring to ask questions or help Brown people out of poverty. Her mocking tone has gotten so personal that Twitter has locked her out of her own account on previous occasions. She's known for protecting her boss and savaging anyone who criticizes him or asks him details about his policies. She loves to answer a reporter's phone call with laughter, childish insults, and some colorful profanity. She delights in the LACK of information she provides to reporters, despite working as press secretary to a major state's governor. In fact, she seems to delight in simply being a difficult maniac all around, and loves her little Twitter feuds.
If and when DeSantis makes his move for national office, expect Pushaw to be right behind him as his chief spokesperson and strategist. She's like Karen Hughes or James Carville, only with a boiled-off face and a heart as black as coal.
Journalists believe she was the now-famous "Perla" (the unknown woman who showed up at the San Antonio detention center to round up Venezuelan migrants and put them on a plane to Martha's Vineyard. She matches the physical description of that woman, and certainly has the background and attitude to fly halfway across the country to victimize dozens of total strangers for being Brown-skinned in HER country.
