Like how people thought smoking was good for you and we saw it in TV, movies and ads using hot celebrities for decades before the rates of lung cancer and secondhand smoke damage became too alarming to ignore. Rates of smoking have drastically declined due to antismoking efforts and banning of advertising on TV. Social media will have the same backlash and an effort to make it less appealing due to all the damage it's causing.
