I watched the show developing this and was not impressed. Trixie has the worst taste level of anyone I’ve ever seen on any of these design shows.

I also don’t know exactly who the market for this is. Her primary fans are tween girls. What is in Pal Springs that would be a destination for them? I don’t think most self respecting gay men are itching to spend the night in a preteen girl’s fantasy dollhouse.

The booking prices are astronomical too. She and her fat boyfriend should’ve just saved their money and spent it on something useful.

Discovery+ featured the reality fixer upper show of Trixie's Motel. Each episode was about one of the rooms being turned into what they are now. Basically, the whole season was an advert for the motel. Clever scheme.

R29, it’s funny how that works. It is her collaborations with Katya that gave her the career she has. Yet she leans in heavily to the music side, and Katya does the same with the performance art. And Trixie’s music and Katya’s performance art are awful. Even when she has someone else producing her music, Trixie’s voice is flat and amateurish. And Katya’s one woman show where she really leaned into her art school background were really just the indulgent ramblings of a drug addict who thinks being random is a replacement for anything interesting or with substance.

At this point, their chemistry has dwindled between all the seasons of their web show and their new podcast. Trixie is lucky to have her makeup empire. That seems to be her long term plan.

This shithole motel is going close when the new and splashy drag queen team comes on the scene.
