110 in the Shade has great moments, a few of which are truly inspired. In between those moments, however, it's pretty modest. It's a shame they didn't have another really great hit show.

The RAPE Song?

No, too bad the rape song never went anywhere, but as the saying goes, soon it's gonna rain

Stevie Sondheim again.....yes, try to remember, really try to remember if Harvey and Tom ever had the talent to go the distance.

I love Try to Remember and never knew where the song originated but heard it throughout my life. I only discovered the origins today after reading of the death of Rita Gardner and doing some digging.

I doubt they had to. Because the show cost about 12 dollars to produce, it's been done multiple times at every high school, community, and regional theatre in the world. Good songs, nice message, and cheap to produce. A winner!

The great Jerry Orbach was the first to sing "Try to Remember" as the OG El Gallo.

Do you have any idea how much money they made over the years with I DO I DO? A two character musical? Big hit on Broadway, and then done everywhere.

My personal favorite is the follow-up to The Fantasticks: Celebration!
