The Oreo Pumpkin Spice Cookies Are Pretty Good
But right after I bought them I saw Canadian Maple Leaf cookies in Aldi. Damn it, Aldi, why don’t you carry the Maple Leafs all year?
A couple of times I bought the maple leafs in Aldi there was a very faint hint of mold-taste. So I said nah, I’ll just keep the Oreo pumpkin spice because my husband told me he likes them.
If Aldi still has Maple Leaf cookies at Christmas, I’ll buy a box.

Shame, OP.
You're supposed to start with "Fat Whores Rejoice!"

Interesting. I loved the Aldi maple leaf cookies first time I had them, then next time had an off flavor and was just very sweet. I wonder why so inconsistent.

Same hear, R2. Got 2 good boxes at Trader Joe’s and 2 questionable boxes at Aldi.
A few times I bought frozen pancakes & frozen waffles at Trader Joe’s and I had to dump them for serious mildew flavor. And a couple times the spinach in Trader Joe’s spanakopita had that mold aftertaste. I hate when spinach does that
I haven’t been to Trader Joe’s for a while. Used to go there every 2 months but they discontinued nearly everything I used to buy there. Now I just buy their Irish tea when I’m in the neighborhood. I’m pretty sure it’s Barry’s but it’s a lot less than Barry’s in my local supermarket,

I tried the Aldi Pumpkin Cheesecake Drizzled Caramel Corn. It’s a bit….much. Wont be buying it next year.
I had been wanting to try the Snickers Donut Shop coffee singles but they’re $16 a box. I’m not *that* interested. A small box would be nice, but I don’t want to drink copious amounts of snickers coffee. And I have a feeling it will taste of chemicals. And I never finish a cup of coffee. Ever. I grew up on tea, not coffee. Never transitioned to coffee fiend

Are the maple leaf cookies soft or hard?
by Anonymous | reply 7 | September 7, 2022 6:37 PM

Pretty soft. Not smushy-soft like some of those fat Pepperidge Farm cookies. But not crunchy like Tate’s.

Make or buy maple cream/butter and spread it on butter cookies.

Because like any other big business they changed the ingredients to shave a few pennies off production.

Even Tate’s jumped on the pumpkin spice wagon.
I don’t go to Trader Joe’s anymore because they’ve stopped selling literally everything I bought there) but I remember this time of year it was swamped with pumpkin spice.
