I was lucky the first two years but finally I have it. It’s not that bad. I’m thankful I got one of the newer strains. I have a sore throat and feel groggy.
I finally got covid

Suck some cock. It will make your throat feel better.

If coke doesn’t taste like diet coke , you are lucky.
by Anonymous | reply 4 | September 4, 2022 6:02 PM |
OP can I have your stuff? 😳
by Anonymous | reply 5 | September 4, 2022 6:05 PM |
You poor dear.
by Anonymous | reply 6 | September 4, 2022 6:09 PM |
Were you ever vaccinated?
by Anonymous | reply 7 | September 4, 2022 10:43 PM |
Yes and I have a booster.
by Anonymous | reply 8 | September 4, 2022 10:45 PM |
You don't have the incredibly painful cough?
by Anonymous | reply 9 | September 4, 2022 11:24 PM |
I'm going next week for my 3rd booster, and my annual flu shot. I don't leave my house unless I'm masked. I admit it, I live in fear of catching this thing. At 69 I just can't chance it.
by Anonymous | reply 10 | September 4, 2022 11:29 PM |
Well, you make it sound like congratulations are in order so Congratulations I guess.
by Anonymous | reply 11 | September 4, 2022 11:39 PM |
Feel better OP
by Anonymous | reply 12 | September 4, 2022 11:47 PM |
Op, this, too, shall pass. And then you'll have a bit of immunity. Be sure to get next booster as soon as immunity from virus slows.
by Anonymous | reply 13 | September 4, 2022 11:56 PM |
I too finally tested positive yesterday. I've had a runny nose for a couple of days, then a sore throat and some phlegm/coughing today, no fever.
by Anonymous | reply 14 | September 5, 2022 12:06 AM |
I hate having sore throat the most, that and nasal congestion. When I have those I gargle with Listerine original mixed w/ hydrogen peroxide and pinch of salt(don't swallow, insert joke). Night time cold syrup, menthol cough drops and three pillows to prop my head for sleeping. Chicken noodle soup and Seven Up.
by Anonymous | reply 15 | September 5, 2022 12:15 AM |
I was starting to think I either had it and had no symptoms or I’d be one of the lucky people not to catch it. I’ve worked in an office and been around people this whole time so I guess my kick finally ran out.
by Anonymous | reply 16 | September 5, 2022 12:16 AM |
I could care less
by Anonymous | reply 17 | September 5, 2022 12:19 AM |
Quarantine, take care of yourself. I like to be taken care of when sick, but my partner is zero help. I want to be pitied and pampered when I don't feel well.
by Anonymous | reply 18 | September 5, 2022 12:22 AM |
I got it a week ago. I was incredibly weak with body aches. I had a leaking nose like a faucet. Also, the short, dry cough.
Double-vaxxed. I am better now.
by Anonymous | reply 19 | September 5, 2022 12:23 AM |
You say could care, I say couldn't care. Either way it's very rude as Covid is no joke.
by Anonymous | reply 20 | September 5, 2022 12:23 AM |
R10, it’s pretty early for a flu shot. Have they even been distributed yet for the season?
by Anonymous | reply 21 | September 5, 2022 12:23 AM |
R16, I started to think I won’t get it either everyone around me has had it. But I know that doesn’t mean shit. I’ll get it soon enough
by Anonymous | reply 22 | September 5, 2022 12:24 AM |
I try to get flu shot in late October so that there's hopefully some immunity come January, when it's most catching. Get it, whenever because you don't want that on top of Covid. Yikers.

Most people who already have existing serious health conditions seem to die from Covid or have a serious bout of Covid..
In the beginning of Covid, if the obits were anything to go by most of the people who died were already quite ill, especially the young people in their 20 and 30s who had died, they were obese, diabetic, while other young people had HBP and other serious health issues.
An aunt is 93, she survived two bouts of Covid. The difference is, she's healthy, never had any serious health issues and had always been naturally slim.

I guess I will never know, but over the past two years, I had two “colds”.
Both were the sniffles at worst, and I live alone (and work from home), so I never bothered getting tested for Covid. I, again, have a sore throat and stuffed nose today so I did perform a Covid test, but negative.
Not to be a Debbie Downer, but I imagine most people have had Covid and just had no/mild symptoms (which is good I guess).

24 hehehe. Seriously, make yourself a martini or hot toddy. That'll help you sleep better. Better than Nyquil.
by Anonymous | reply 27 | September 5, 2022 12:41 AM |
I just got it as well. It's just like a cold, but the sore throat it s a bit more painful and the body aches are no picnic. Throat lozenges haven't really helped. You just have to wait it out.
by Anonymous | reply 28 | September 5, 2022 12:44 AM |
OP - At R8 you said you were vaccinated and "have a booster."
Just one booster?
Also, how long ago did you get that booster?
by Anonymous | reply 29 | September 5, 2022 12:48 AM |
OP, "COVID" does not come with your body covered with what looks like oily spoiled canned peas.
Embrace the Simian God.

[quote] [R10], it’s pretty early for a flu shot. Have they even been distributed yet for the season?
Walgreens said they had it. I take the over 65 Flu vaccine, so maybe they get that one out sooner than the lower strength version. I don't know. I don't question why, I just do or die.
by Anonymous | reply 31 | September 5, 2022 2:36 AM |
Two vaccines, no boosters and no Covid. Have no pre-existing conditions. I don't smoke, don't do recreational drugs and only had a drink (wine) at dinner when out with my partner and friends. I don't crave any alcohol.
Then again, I've worked from home since 2004. No more subways etc. I food shop locally and haven't socialized much. Partner works away from home, but keeps his mask on when on the subway and outside.

Tell me you didn't lose your sense of taste, the seacow in me couldn't handle it.

Rest.
Do not exercise or exert yourself in anyway.
All of these people getting post-exertional malaise are saying they tried too hard to continue living/exercising normally.
by Anonymous | reply 36 | September 5, 2022 4:32 AM |
I lost my sense of taste/smell this morning. I'm seriously bummed.
by Anonymous | reply 37 | September 6, 2022 12:32 AM |
I felt delirious all day but now I’m watching the greas strangler and I can still taste
