Do you guys think Louis ck is funny?

I found his stand up just okay.

But his TV series "Louie" remains one of the best series I've ever seen. It was funny, sad, poignant, moving and silly at once. The writing was fantastic. And I assume he wrote most of it.

His show Louie was brilliant. He hasn’t been funny in the slightest after his cancellation and he went full MAGA. Dave Chappelle has never been funny. Ever.

Watched one of his specials - slow to get started - then very funny in the middle- grew tired of his rhythm by the end. It was enough for me to think he’s funny but not enough to watch other stuff.

I like Katt Williams. He's self educated and when he's doing well he's funny as Hell.

Not really, no. I have a straight friend who raves about him too, thinks he's a genius. He's never made me laugh.

Several years ago I watched a few Louis CK specials, "One Night Stand" and "Shameless" if I recall, and really liked them. Watched laters specials and they were very hit and miss. "Hilarious" only had a few good parts, which were all undisguised George Carlin ripoffs. Even his "Live at Carnegie Hall" album cover is edited to make him LOOK like George Carlin.

I don't think he forced anyone into touching him, but he was credibly accused of masturbating in front of several different women at different times in seemingly non-sexual settings, like meetings with fellow comedians or comedy writers. And it wasn't just a rub through the pants, he announced what he was doing and took out his erect penis and began playing with it in front of them. Creepy and weird in the extreme. There's something very wrong with this guy, but people love to prop up shitty human beings and complain about imaginary "cancel culture" while doing so because it fits a narrative that confirms their preexisting biases.

I don't find him necessarily funny, but there's something about him I find appealingly sad. Does that make sense?

I watched all of "Horace and Pete" in a day,. I'm not usually a crier, but I did a few times during that. His character on "Parks and recreation" as the cop who had it bad for Leslie was also more melancholy and sweet that humorous.

His downfall was a huge shame because I think he has a real gift.

I can't think of another stand-up who is equally appealing as an actor. (And before you annoy me too much, Robin Williams was an overrated serious actor)

I don't find his stand-up funny at all, but I loved "Baskets", so there's something in there I respond to. It's just not the comedy he does alone, I guess.

I had a close friend who LOVED him and thought he was hilarious, but he always left me cold and I found him creepy without knowing why. NOW I know, obviously.

Loved his show “Louie”. His latest Standup special was awful. Like most men, thinks too highly of himself.

I lived near Sunset Gower and I would catch the tapings of Lucky Louie. I was in the audience for episode 6 when Louie called his wife a cunt.

He would lock the door and beat off in front of female comedians. Locking the door and preventing someone from leaving is actually one of the criminal definitions of kidnapping. He's lucky they didn't press charges

There's really nothing difficult to understand about what he did. He locked people in rooms with him and openly masturbated in front of them without consent or prior warning. There was also a power difference in most cases because he was an extremely popular and well known comedian with a TV show and a full touring schedule, and the women he subjected to this behavior were lesser known comedians or comedy writers meeting him to discuss work or potential opportunities. He was very powerful in the comedy world at the time.
