Was he a pussyfucker?

The Orry Kelly documentary was very damning of Cary Grant. I wonder if Dyan Cannon has seen it.

More than seeing those cheesy pap shots of him with Randolph Scott, the Orry Kelly documentary really made me realize how the Hollywood fiction of "Cary Grant" warped and destroyed Archie Leach.

The world needs a biopic, but I bet it'll never happen.

Look at this terrible white gown Oberon is wearing in the first scene.

She's trussed up in a very tight corset and two fake cotton pads in lieu of natural breasts.

But the loose fabric is very unflattering.

Cary Grant and George Clooney seem so similar in so many ways .

Ilsa's white suit on her first entrance into Rick's in "Casablanca" is the best of Orry-Kelly.

It's my all-time favorite film garment.

It achieves the tricky feat of being both elegant and utilitarian. Its color is perfect, too.

R7 I agree, it subtle and refined like Prada.

My take is that he was “sisters” with Grant who discretely but some distance between them when the moved to LA from NYC. Cary did go on to a long affair with Scott- and he was a pall bearer at Kelly’s funeral. Kelly was flamboyant. And clearly he was one of Hollywood’s most talented costume designers and well liked. Interesting docu on his life if you can rustle it up on Netflix etc.

For such a fascinating man, that documentary was Godawful.
