I used to work at an L.A. area Trader Joe's that he frequented. The day before Thanksgiving (about 10-12 years ago) I saw Thaao wandering around the cut-flower section as I wheeled in a couple cases to re-stock. I could tell by his expression that he was kinda displeased, or wasn't finding what he wanted. I asked if I could help him.

In the most condescending, queeny tone you've ever heard, he replied: "No, I don't think so....you don't have much of a selection today...do you?"

Not much of a selection??!! There were 18-20 types of "single-varieties" on display! Everything that was available for me to order, PLUS nine types of mixed bouquets (at various price points). And they were all fresh, as we'd gone through almost all of our back-stock, the day prior.

So, I asked again: "Is there something *in particular* that you're looking for & not seeing??"

He pointed at the Hydrangea bucket & said, "Blue Hydrangeas". There were only White Hydrangeas in said bucket. I briefly explained that when we order cut Hydrangeas, we don't know what color we'll get. Typically, the cases are a mix of blue & white -- but sometimes it's just white, sometimes it's just blue, and every now & then, we get some pink ones, too. We just never know until we open the box. (that's just how it goes at Trader Joe's)

I asked him to hang for a few minutes (go do some other shopping) while I looked through our back-stock for blue hydrangeas. I found some, and he was appreciative of my effort, but still...I couldn't help but chuckle. No straight guy would ever give a SHIT about blue hydrangeas!

Craig returns this week, but it's a red herring. Chloe wants his help to stop Nancy's wedding to Clyde. Chad probably breaks up the wedding.
