The Courtship of Eddie's Father

Anybody remember this show based off a early 1960s film by the same name? I loved it. I have Hulu and Netflix but it's only available on Roku. I would love to binge watch this while curled up in pajamas and eating a bowl of cereal.

Starring the delicate, some say the flower-like, DL fave Miyoshi Umeki

P.S. Yes, I feel nostalgic for this one, too. Love the seaside voiceover bumpers

"Starring the delicate, some say the flower-like, DL fave Miyoshi Umeki"

who on the show said, mostly, "Dinner's ready."

I loved it as a kid, but I tried to watch an episode a while ago and it was awful.

The theme song is being used in a current tv commercial. I HATE the tv theme song. To me it’s moronic.

Bill Bixby was cute

Jodie Foster as a bully

The song “let me tell you about my best friend” conjures up images of institutionalized learning disability and autistic music therapy matching music with lyric.

Loved the show and the theme song! I envied Eddie having Bill Bixby as his dad and a doting housekeeper rather than a nagging mother!

R8 the song was retarded

Jodie was a baby dyke/tomboy. Her name in the clip is Joey.

Boy, there was a lot of societal sexism still around at that time, although the cultural references were from the lovely Miyoshi Umeki and her home country of Japan.

You better watch the youtube above. This will be on the test.

I remember it. Like R3, I tried to watch it again (after buying a DVD set! I think it was homemade) and found it almost unwatchable even though Bill Bixby was cute.

Meh.
