I'm curious to know where genderless Toby is now. Does s/he identify as nonbinary? Did s/he eventually settle on one gender or the other?

I knew Toby (online) back in the 80s. Toby is on the spectrum and it seriously affected Toby's life, From what I could tell, Toby's asexuality was a side-effect.

I also sometimes suspected Toby was just the strangest put-on in the world.

Before Sally Jessy was on TV, she had a radio show that aired nationwide, but not in my local market. If it was cloudy, I could tune her in from a radio station in LA.

One thing she said on the radio stuck with me: you can get through anything, even life events that last months.

When I lived in the midwest I'd hear Sally's radio show. As I remember it, at least on the radio, she was really dense on things like gay issues. The kind of dense on the order of "why don't all gay men wear dresses?" I hope someone will disabuse me of that notion, because my memories of her on TV were that she was relatively cool, though cheesy.

My local broadcast area is very close to St Louis MO. I remember Sally Jessy Raphael being on in our home every day as a kid growing up. Her debut talk show was on NBC affiliate KSDK channel 5. My mom and I watched it together during my summer breaks and on days I stayed home from school.
