True Stories (1986), the album this song comes on, was the first CD I bought that I didn't own the LP version of. I played it incessantly on my new no-turntable stereo.

Wailing Souls did a reggae cover version of "Wild Wild Life" for the soundtrack in the 1993 comedy film "Cool Runnings" (loosely based on the Jamaican bobsled team).
