Should I buy a $2k laser light cap that thickens and regrows hair? Lots of doctors say they work. I'm 60 with no balding but it's getting thinner.
Well?

Get some generic rogaine. It takes several months but it does work.

It’s approved by the FDA to grow hair—so along with Minoxidil and propecia, I think this is the only other therapy

I've got an iRestore Pro that I use. 2k is a lot, are you looking at a Capillus Pro cap?
by Anonymous | reply 10 | August 19, 2022 4:00 AM |
i did laser comb and noticed no difference after 6 months
by Anonymous | reply 11 | August 19, 2022 4:32 AM |
R10 yes that0s the one recommended - Capillus. Thank you for your reply. Are you satisfied with with your iRestore - why or why not?
by Anonymous | reply 12 | August 19, 2022 9:01 AM |
R12, well I'm a 53 y/0, maybe Norwood 2.5, thinning and temple recession. I'm on finasteride. I can't say I've noticed much difference due to the iRestore. I do it daily because I think the science is solid and I'm a fan of photobiomodulation (I use it for other things). I think it helps maintain what I have.
At this point, in terms of effectiveness in terms of hairloss, I think it in terms of effectiveness it's Finasteride/Dutasteride--> topical/oral minoxidil --> dermarolling --> red light therapy (iRestore or Capillus, etc) nutritional supplements --> PRP --> other new experimental stuff
low-level laser therapy (Ie, photobiomodulation) will help preserve what you have, maybe thicken the hairs somewhat but it isn't a game changer. It's a good addition and support if you are doing the other things I mentioned

Oh hey, I should have said: photobiomodulation = iRestore or Capillus (red/infrared light stimulation)

Did you see the NYT article today on low dose, cheap, oral minoxidil?

Yes indeed, we too use "cookies." Take a look at our privacy/terms or if you just want to see the damn site without all this bureaucratic nonsense, click ACCEPT. Otherwise, you'll just have to find some other site for your pointless bitchery needs.
