The new regime wants CNN to be news-only with no opinion and they'll probably get rid of the people who clearly lean left. I'd say Don Lemon is in the hotseat.

I doubt Don Lemon will go. He’s the type that would play the race card in a second.

Don Lemon is expensive. Plus unlike Stelter's show, which I actually watched regularly, I have not seen Don's show in years. He has a huge amount of airtime and no buzz.

Don's show improved after Cuomo got fired. Their bro-fest was nauseating. After Chris was gone, at least Don actually dealt with actual news.

I was surprised by this, but I’m guessing he’s out of favor at CNN over behind the scenes behavior. I think there’s more to the story than just low ratings

Don Lemon has three years left on his contract, CNN would have to pay big bucks if they fired him.

I think Stelter was fired because he's a terrible broadcaster, more than anything. I liked his daily enewsletter, though.

Don is unlikely to survive. He’s (euphemism alert) a total lightweight and wears his political bias on his sleeve. He’s as good as done.

Of course, I heard him interviewed last year on a podcast and he was talking about how he sees much bigger and better things in his future. Oh, brother.

I like that CNN wants to get back to their roots of focusing on journalism and less on opinion shows like the other news networks. This country is in serious need of an unbiased news network that reports actual news.

He often makes some very good points on his shows. However, he is not an inspiring broadcaster.

Here's the real issue though. Since he started making changes, nobody is watching the "revised" CNN. The ratings have hit an all-time low.

People may *say* they want straight unbiased journalism, "lke CNN used to be"......but they don't. They want news supporting their own sides and they don't give a damn about straight news.

In the video at r41, Stelter did not like being confronted with the fact that CNN is the same as FOX when it comes to being selective about what it covers, to give the audiences of both only what they want to see. Him always being in denial about CNN and stridently defending it from appropriate criticisms was one of his worst traits.

CNN has been good at international news.

They annoy me most when it comes to airline disasters, police shootings, protests that are racially charged, mass shootings by a gunman, Trump’s antics, Biden’s unpopularity, and so forth. They press for emotional reactions, dwell for days on one matter, then totally shift to something else. These are important concerns, but report on all serious news, and not just one, or maybe two, with the same content all day long.

As far as I'm concerned, Jim Acosta can get it, all day.
