R237 Well my point is. Most Americans are fat because they live in big suburban hells which require a lot of driving and many also live in food deserts. Cheap foods are heavy in sugar and starch. So poor rural people are fatter on average and it's not always something that's in their control. New Yorkers walk way more on average than the average American. NYC is a European style city. So it's easier to be skinny in NYC than most places and especially so if you're rich and can afford nutrient dense healthy foods. NYC doesn't seem like a good place to be fat in general because of it's layout and quick paced environment. I don't understand how Dunham could willingly let themselves be that fat without some kind of mental disorder. I take it she must not walk places and stays inside a lot. I've rarely see Midwestern or Southern level of obese in NYC.
