They can make noise. They can have a parade. They can make a mess. They can cause trouble. But they’re not shutting down the state. Most people are enjoying their Saturday at home, at a park, at the beach, at a game. Not sitting in their cars fuming and ranting into cellphones attached to cupholders about how we need to take this country back.

R7 yes, actually, in a country with as many people as we have, yes.

The longer they stomp and whine, the more they look like out-of-step assholes. There have always been huge numbers of malcontents. Trump just made them feel emboldened. But he tried to rile up a revolution and he failed, just like the leftists in the 1960s failed.

People don’t want a revolution. We want a nice car and a good job and a house. We’re not looking to blow the place up because our guy didn’t win the election. It reminds me of Beatlemania. It was intense for a few years with people risking life and limb to see a beatle. But then one day it was just a bunch of housewives watching game shows and men working at a factory. People get caught up in a moment. But the moment passes and the rest of the world moves on. Are you still going to be screaming “Paul!!!” with tears flowing down your face at 50? That’s pathetic.
