He's got to be one of the most amusing reconteurs. I can always watch his interviews on Carson and laugh out loud. His wit and timing is truly great. Not many like him I can think of, especially today. I read he was on Carson close to 100 times, wish all were available on YouTube but there are a decent amount! Who else do you love to listen to tell stories?
Who are your favorite reconteurs? CNR is the best!

I think I remember reading that Charles lived very close to the studio where TTS was filmed and if they had a last minute cancellation he was a entertaining filler and could get there quickly.

Miriam Margolyes is probably my favorite who's still with us. If I see that she's going to be on the Graham Norton show, I pop popcorn and settle in for a wild ride.
