I am actually looking forward to this!

by Anonymousreply 1August 11, 2022 6:45 PM

Glad to see that the kid who plays Devon actually matured to the point of having pubes.

He looked like a ten year old last season.

by Anonymousreply 2August 11, 2022 10:17 PM

last season spelled out why we needed abortion.

by Anonymousreply 3August 11, 2022 10:18 PM

You mean "Junior," R3?

Or Lexi?

I think both of those cunts should have been aborted.

Thankfully, Junior is dead.

But fucking Lexi is still alive.

by Anonymousreply 4August 11, 2022 10:23 PM

The kid who plays Jake looks more mature this season.

[quote] Meg Tilly, Gina Gershon, Joe Pantoliano

Wow! Talk about careers jumping the shark!

by Anonymousreply 7September 14, 2022 5:53 PM

I don't think you're using that phrase correctly since none of those actors had much of a (recent) career to begin with.

by Anonymousreply 8September 14, 2022 5:56 PM

I'm watching for RHOBH's Sutton Stracke.

by Anonymousreply 9September 14, 2022 6:51 PM

Coming soon!

I can't wait.

by Anonymousreply 10September 15, 2022 4:43 PM

Chucky returns on Wednesday.

by Anonymousreply 11October 2, 2022 2:29 AM

Premieres tonight!

Now Jake, Devon and Lexi are all in Catholic School because they're all orphans!

by Anonymousreply 12October 5, 2022 7:50 PM

I can't wait to see Sutton Stracke.

She's my favorite Housewife.

by Anonymousreply 13October 5, 2022 11:42 PM

Meg Tilly AND Jennifer Tilly in one show!?!?

by Anonymousreply 14October 5, 2022 11:51 PM

Is Christine Elise back as well? Or is she really dead and gone?

by Anonymousreply 15October 5, 2022 11:54 PM

Hopefully along with maturing physically, Jake and Devon's acting has improved also. I found it hard to watch them at times due to their acting abilities lacking and found it hard to buy them as anything other as friends.

Devon Sawa, Jennfer Tilly, Fiona Dourif and Brad Dourif as Chucky are the real reasons I watch.

by Anonymousreply 16October 5, 2022 11:58 PM

R15 I think she's supposed to be back. Probably part time like last season though.

by Anonymousreply 17October 5, 2022 11:59 PM

[quote] Hopefully along with maturing physically, Jake and Devon's acting has improved also

Don't count on it, based on the trailer for season two.

They actually share a kiss in the trailer, and it looks awkward and uncomfortable.

You're right about the acting, though.

Zachary Arthur has a constant "furrowed brow" expression that he uses in every single scene. He's awful!

And Bjorgvin, though his acting is... adequate, is not really that great either.

I don't buy them as a gay couple, but oh well.

Something is better than nothing, I guess.

I can't believe they didn't recognize Chucky's voice on the phone, even though he was disguising it. I could tell it was him as soon as he started talking.

by Anonymousreply 21October 6, 2022 1:19 AM

The previews are hilarious.

"I have risen!"

This show is a fucking mess, but it's totally hilarious.

by Anonymousreply 22October 6, 2022 1:26 AM

Lexi's boyfriend seemed gayer than Jake and Devon combined.

by Anonymousreply 23October 6, 2022 1:33 AM

[quote] Lexi's boyfriend seemed gayer than Jake and Devon combined.

You mean "Junior?"

I was surprised they killed him off. I thought he would be a regular cast member.

I am disappointed they killed off Oliver (Avery Esteves). He was the best looking of the bunch.

R24 No, the one that was dressed up as Dracula in the first episode this season. Not sure what his name is.

by Anonymousreply 25October 6, 2022 1:54 AM

Oh, I didn't watch the new episode yet R25.

I checked IMDB.

All the characters are the same from last season, except for someone named "Raggy Sharma."

Are you talking about him?

by Anonymousreply 26October 6, 2022 2:04 AM

Zachary Arthur must have body dysmorphic disorder judging by his Instagram account. Even his brother seems to be starving himself.

by Anonymousreply 27October 6, 2022 2:05 AM

Jake is Don Mancini. The Catholic thing is also part of his childhood. Basically we’re seeing Don’s life play out on screen. Must be therapeutic.

by Anonymousreply 28October 6, 2022 2:05 AM

Gina Gershon is in the next episode.

by Anonymousreply 29October 6, 2022 2:06 AM

[quote] Gina Gershon is in the next episode.

Zack looks very different from last year.

I'm not even kidding.

I almost feel as if he has had plastic surgery.

He definitely did something to his lips.

The cheekbone pout is weird.

by Anonymousreply 34October 6, 2022 3:00 AM

I agree, R34.

He has been putting on a gay affectation in his Instagram photos lately, but he never did it before.

Is he actually coming out of the closet (in real life), or is he just putting on a show for his "fans?"

by Anonymousreply 35October 6, 2022 4:08 AM

I don’t think he’s putting on a show nor do I think he’s coming out. It’s just how he is.

by Anonymousreply 36October 6, 2022 4:16 AM

His body is ridiculous looking though. He’s jacked like a grown ass man. There have been articles about boys today having body dysmorphia thanks to social media and they totally look like him.

by Anonymousreply 37October 6, 2022 4:17 AM

How was the episode?

by Anonymousreply 38October 6, 2022 5:41 AM

R25, I believe that actor is Zackary Arthur’s brother, Aiden Arthur.

by Anonymousreply 39October 6, 2022 6:35 AM

According to Don Mancini, Barbara Alyn Woods begged him not to kill her off in season one. I hope he has plans for that character and wouldn't just let an actor have that much power over him. He could have a lot more fun with Michelle Cross.

by Anonymousreply 40October 6, 2022 12:08 PM

The episode was stronger than season 1. A nice set up. The fans all want Andy’s mom back. I hope Don at least asked her.

Don is still a hot piece of ass.

It's definitely Aiden Arthur, Zackary's brother. His name was in the credits.

This episode was hilarious.

I loved all the bad puns and one-liners, like "And I would've gotten away with it if it wasn't for you meddling kids!"

Gary and Caroline were my two favorites in this episode. Those two little kids are hilarious.

Caroline is so good at being weird. I don't know if the actress is like that in real life, or if she's just a really good actress, but the way she plays Caroline is fantastic.

Gary was great, too. I can't believe that Chucky blew him up!

And I can't believe that they pinned all the murders on Junior!

Can't wait to see how life is for the three in their new Catholic school.

A few nitpicks:

With cameras literally everywhere nowadays, there's no way Chucky wouldn't get caught. Characters could maybe believe he's a "little person", but the filmmakers don't even bother going there for some reason.

That "Bride of Chucky" reference was strange. Are the movies part of this universe?

Lexy's sister Caroline seems a little naive for her age, but this has always been a problem in this franchise.

by Anonymousreply 45October 6, 2022 2:29 PM

Aiden Arthur was pretty funny as the vampire costume guy.

He even did a bump of coke with Lexi!

by Anonymousreply 46October 6, 2022 7:23 PM

And would an Uber really pick up a doll and deliver it somewhere?

Do Ubers even do that?

by Anonymousreply 47October 7, 2022 2:56 AM

I loved this latest episode & the series.

It has incredible twists & turns.

I never thought that the 3 teens would be sent to Chucky's old school in the first episode & I thought Jake's new family would last the entire 2nd season. I'm also glad they didn't find Andy's body so he can return at a future date.

by Anonymousreply 48October 7, 2022 7:22 AM

You know when they don't find a body that character is still alive. In soaps, they bring back characters you literally see dead and buried.

by Anonymousreply 62October 10, 2022 4:31 AM

I wonder what happened between Don and his 20-something Brazilian boy toy.

I think the best publicity would be if Don leaked a sex tape. Preferably from the 90s, 2000s, but I’ll take something recent too

by Anonymousreply 63October 10, 2022 4:32 AM

Devon looks several years younger than the other teen actors. It’s uncomfortable haha

Yeah, he still looks young even this season.

But he's actually older than Jake.

I'm more curious how he got a name like Bjorgvin Arneson.

I always laugh when people point stuff like that out in a universe with a live quippy voodoo doll walking around murdering people. It's a campy world, stop overthinking it.

New episode tonight!

by Anonymousreply 66October 13, 2022 1:37 AM

Will Chucky catch Devon giving a Jake blowjob, take a photo it, and blackmail him?

by Anonymousreply 67October 13, 2022 1:54 AM

I find it amusing that Chucky is proud that he's not a homophobe.

Even though he's a SERIAL KILLER!

Chucky’s a gay icon now.

I bet Don Mancini wants to fuck Devon Sawa.

by Anonymousreply 71October 13, 2022 8:34 AM

R71 I'd like to see that. Sawa was one of those guys that didn't do it for me until he got older.

A number of great and funny moments in last night's episode. I'm actually enjoying this season more overall at this point compared to season 1.

by Anonymousreply 72October 13, 2022 9:08 AM

They just talked about how Don was upset that he didn’t have Devon shirtless for the first season since he’s a weightlifter.

by Anonymousreply 73October 13, 2022 9:23 AM

This episode was a lot of fun. I love the weird close-up camera zooms on the character's faces.

So happy Devon Sawa is back. They disguise him pretty well, and I didn't even realize it was him until Jake said, "That guy looks a lot like my dad." Lol.

I'm not loving the Jennifer Tilly meta-story too much. It's too weird, and she's too weird. I don't even understand what was up with the cop that she killed at her house.

Not sure if I like Lexy's roommate either. She seems like an extra.

I do like the new blond boy, though. He seems quite sinister, and I can't wait to see what he has planned for Lexy.

I also like that all the different Chuckies have different personalities. The one that went to the Church/School was cute. He wasn't a bad Chucky.

I'm so curious who "the twins' are. Any guesses?

by Anonymousreply 74October 13, 2022 10:10 AM

Now that Jake and Devon are going to be roommates, will there be an opportunity for some "Love, Victor" moments?

Gary is my new favorite character.

Has anyone noticed that he does voice over introduction for the show?

In episode two, it was Gary's voice that said "Previously, on FUCKING Chucky..."

LOL.

That kid's parents must work for the show.

Jennifer Tilly/Tiffany was a breath of fresh air in Bride of Chucky, but in Seed of Chucky and the TV show, they're pushing it too far and it's kind of annoying.

by Anonymousreply 80October 14, 2022 8:43 AM

One episode of "Gary" was more than enough for me. They had balls to blow up a small child though!

I also think they went too far with Jennifer/Tiffany. She's way more twisted and sadistic than Chucky now. Her cutting off Nica's arms and legs was way too much. A lot of people were complaining about it on social media too.

I would've liked to see more of Fiona Dourif on the show. She's very talented in her own right. But they've limited her character even further by doing that to her.

by Anonymousreply 81October 14, 2022 9:06 AM

[quote] Jennifer Tilly/Tiffany was a breath of fresh air in Bride of Chucky, but in Seed of Chucky and the TV show, they're pushing it too far and it's kind of annoying.

Exactly!

I wish that they would just stick to the Jake/Devon/Lexy storyline.

The Jennifer Tilly and Fiona Dourif seems superfluous. As if it's just there as a vehicle for Don Mancini to give work to his friends.

It's supposed to be a new generation of Chucky characters, so the show should focus on them.

I mean, it's okay to bring back old characters in cameo appearances, but they're too much of the story now. A little goes a long way.

I hope Don Mancini reads the feedback, and blows up Nica and Tiffany.

But keep Andy.

by Anonymousreply 82October 14, 2022 2:35 PM

I just finished watching the second episode & think the show is perfect the way it is.

The show is a wild ride as it should be when dealing with a killer ginger voodoo doll/s running amok.

by Anonymousreply 83October 15, 2022 8:06 AM

I don't even know where Nica came from.

Why is she even on this show?

The original characters were Andy and Kyle, so the show should be about them.

As for Jennifer Tilly.... I've had sufficient.

by Anonymousreply 84October 15, 2022 10:25 PM

Damn... that Jake guy can't act for shit. And he is clearly uncomfortable with the gay scenes. I have never seen someone kiss with such pressed lips as that Jake guy. Not a single ounce of passion. Also, his love interest still looks like a 12 year old. This year he has an acne breakout too, which is very distracting. Why couldn't they have given him a hotter love interest? This sucks.

by Anonymousreply 85October 16, 2022 6:49 AM

R85, because racial diversity!

by Anonymousreply 86October 16, 2022 8:50 PM

I hate this show.

If the twinks don't hook up, then I'm out.

For some reason, sending them to Catholic school is an attempt to neuter the gay, or "pray the gay" out of them.

Fuck that.

by Anonymousreply 87October 17, 2022 10:38 PM

It's funny cause I was just thinking about Jennifer Tilly just today which isn't really all that odd because I think of Jennifer Tilly a lot for some reason but it also made me think of how like I used to know who Tia Carrera was but then she disappeared and I don't know what happened to her and then I thought I bet she gets confused for Jennifer Tilly a lot because like they probably audition for a lot of the same parts and so then I googled them found Jennifer Tilly and Tina Craig playing poker together so that was kind of cool.

by Anonymousreply 88October 17, 2022 10:44 PM

Meg Tilly mentioned in her vlogs that she was offered two TV roles in the last year. She turned down the meatier one, I guess because of nerves over COVID. How many episodes is she doing?

by Anonymousreply 89October 17, 2022 11:37 PM

What an awful, boring episode.

They killed off the one good villain on the show! And he was cute, too.

Watching Jake and Devon kiss, is painful. They are terrible at it, and there's no emotion or passion, and not convincing as a gay couple at all.

That curly haired girl is annoying.

The only funny part was watching the kids go "Clockwork Orange" on the Chucky doll. That was funny.

Everything else was a dud.

by Anonymousreply 90October 20, 2022 12:35 PM

This was the best episode of the season thus far.

by Anonymousreply 91October 20, 2022 5:49 PM

Lol R91.

Really, no it wasn't.

by Anonymousreply 92October 21, 2022 3:22 AM

I liked episode one. Two bored me, but finished strong. This one had a lot of fun with the new Chucky concept and interesting touches. It's all subjective.

by Anonymousreply 93October 21, 2022 9:41 AM

The show is at its best when Jennifer Tilly is offscreen. Too much intentional camp can be boring and annoying.

by Anonymousreply 94October 21, 2022 9:43 AM

Christine Elise looks completely different lately.

by Anonymousreply 95October 21, 2022 10:07 AM

I guess this show has fallen off the radar...

by Anonymousreply 96October 22, 2022 1:02 AM

The actress who plays Nadine has an old lady face.

by Anonymousreply 97October 22, 2022 9:21 AM

I think they killed off Trevor really quick to subvert expectations. Mixed reactions.

by Anonymousreply 98October 25, 2022 11:42 AM

Don Mancini has an interesting imagination, but he tends to write in broad strokes. Especially the antagonists. A little more nuance would be nice.

by Anonymousreply 99October 26, 2022 10:53 AM

New episode tonight!

It's going to be Jennifer Tilly centric.

by Anonymousreply 100October 27, 2022 12:30 AM

Boy, that episode was all over the place. Some things worked and some really didn't.

Gina Gershon seemed to have fun.

Glad Nica finally escaped. Hopefully she gets revenge on Tiffany/Jennifer.

I thought Lachlan Watson did a pretty good job as Glen and Glenda. They made each character seem unique, not every actor can pull that off.

by Anonymousreply 105October 27, 2022 2:31 AM

I wish Mancini would masturbate over the Tilly and Dourif family on his own time.

by Anonymousreply 108October 27, 2022 3:30 PM

I agree, R108.

This was a totally stupid episode.

I am so tired of the Chucky/Tiffany/Nica storyline.

It was actually nice to see Joe Pantoliano, Gina Gershon, Sutton Stracke, and Meg Tilly. But it was way too "meta."

I would prefer to focus on Jake, Lexi, and Devon. Just let the new generation be the focus already, and leave the old characters behind.

This episode was a total waste.

by Anonymousreply 109October 27, 2022 3:41 PM

R109 is an idiot.

by Anonymousreply 110October 27, 2022 3:43 PM

Jen and Meg are both kooky, but Meg is much more subdued about it.

by Anonymousreply 111October 27, 2022 4:01 PM

The reason this show was such a success in season one was because Don Mancini introduced new characters and a new generation to Chucky.

It had a very cool vibe, and focused on the young cast.

Unfortunately, Don took that popularity and turned it into the Tiffany/Nica story, which nobody wants.

And I don't think the GenZ viewers are going to understand the "camp factor" of this latest episode. Like, at all.

I get it because I understand camp, and I'm older But young viewers would most likely be confused by this episode. They would have no idea what the Chucky tv show was about, nor would they even know anything about Meg Tilly, Gina Gershon, or Joe Pantoliano.

It was basically just an indulgence on Don Mancini's part, to put his friends on the show.

I don't like it, and I think young viewers will stop watching. Watch the ratings start going down.

by Anonymousreply 112October 27, 2022 4:09 PM

This episode was fun, but also kind of a mess. Just like Seed of Chucky.

by Anonymousreply 113October 27, 2022 4:55 PM

[Quote] Jen and Meg are both kooky, but Meg is much more subdued about it.

Meg has a soulful quality that Jen doesn't have.

by Anonymousreply 114October 27, 2022 10:07 PM

by Anonymousreply 115October 28, 2022 11:02 AM

R112, all the kids are loving it on social media. Everyone gets it.

by Anonymousreply 116October 28, 2022 11:03 AM

Don Mancini makes Ryan Murphy look like Billy Wilder, but this show is still kind of fun and I'll defend it against some of the online reactionary nonsense.

by Anonymousreply 117October 29, 2022 2:09 PM

Anyone else have a thing for Dourif? I've always found him incredibly attractive especially in his youth. Compelling actor.

by Anonymousreply 118October 29, 2022 3:51 PM

I love this show!

by Anonymousreply 119October 29, 2022 5:33 PM

Sutton Stracke did really well in this episode.

I thought she was hilarious.

by Anonymousreply 120October 29, 2022 10:27 PM

Why does Peacock have the Child’s Play movies in the (ugh!) “Queer Horror” section?

by Anonymousreply 121October 29, 2022 11:01 PM

Chucky is back with the brats!

by Anonymousreply 122November 3, 2022 3:55 AM

Devon is the only one thinking clearly.

Why is Jake so invested in saving "good" Chucky? And what's with the weird curly haired girl? I hate her.

At least we now know what's the deal with Jennifer Tilly and her creepy daughter.

Jennifer is in the doll's body and Tiffany is in Jennifer's body.

And Glen/Glenda is the ugly doll from "Seed of Chucky," come to life.

But that doll spoke with a British accent, and was a male. How did it turn into twin girls, with they/them pronouns?

I guess the psychiatrist lady WAS in on Chucky's plan.

by Anonymousreply 123November 3, 2022 6:08 PM

Jake is an idiot.

I don't get why he's so invested in Chucky!

by Anonymousreply 124November 3, 2022 10:54 PM

S1 has higher highs, but S2 is more consistently entertaining - largely due to the lack of unnecessary Charles Lee Ray prequel flashbacks eating up a decent chuck of running time.

by Anonymousreply 125November 3, 2022 11:40 PM

This season has less fat.

by Anonymousreply 126November 3, 2022 11:50 PM

I'm ready for next episode!

by Anonymousreply 127November 7, 2022 10:48 PM

This series is like a cracked-out horror soap opera. i find it more entertaining than most shows these days.

by Anonymousreply 128November 10, 2022 8:19 PM

Ugh. Another terrible episode.

I need to see more gay shit, or I'm out.

by Anonymousreply 129November 10, 2022 9:34 PM

The latest episode was a rebound for me. The 2 episodes prior to it really challenged my loyalty to the show. I hope the rest of the season keeps my interest.

by Anonymousreply 130November 11, 2022 6:07 AM

There are two more episodes left this season. I'm not sure how they'll keep the pace going well with the way the storyline is going now. I hope they pull it off though.

by Anonymousreply 131November 11, 2022 7:45 AM

Poor Nadine!

by Anonymousreply 132November 11, 2022 8:12 AM

[quote] Poor Nadine!

Death by defenestration!

by Anonymousreply 133November 11, 2022 9:21 AM

Very sad death scene.

by Anonymousreply 134November 11, 2022 5:17 PM

I like that they had a line making fun of the ridiculous plot armor from S1: "You mean only one died in that explosion!?"

by Anonymousreply 135November 11, 2022 10:52 PM

I really did not see Nadine's death coming. My suspicion was that we were going to find out that she was in cahoots with Chucky the entire time.

by Anonymousreply 136November 11, 2022 10:54 PM

Yes, Nadine was the best character in the Chucky tv series. They should've kept her. What a sweetie (both the character & the actress). Maybe they can stick her in a doll & bring her back with some voodoo stuff.

by Anonymousreply 137November 12, 2022 8:19 PM

Nadine kind of annoyed me at first. I thought they made a little too goody goody and naive, but she grew on me. The actress playing her was good though and played her very genuinely.

by Anonymousreply 138November 13, 2022 12:10 AM

Agreed R138. If Nadine is gone from the series (Jake's dad sure wasn't) then I hope the actress has a long career ahead of her.

by Anonymousreply 139November 13, 2022 12:54 AM

I hated the Nadine character. She was really annoying.

Glad to see her death by defenestration.

I think the funniest character is the Twisted Sister who worships the Chucky doll. She's a total nutjob!

And she said she's going to seek vengeance for his death. Lol.

by Anonymousreply 140November 13, 2022 3:36 PM

I like Nadine. She has the face and hairstyle of an old school granny.

by Anonymousreply 141November 14, 2022 8:28 PM

I don't think Nadine's story is over. There's unfinished character development there. My guess is that somehow she'll be resurrected as an evil version of herself?

by Anonymousreply 142November 14, 2022 10:37 PM

R142 I hope so. I thought she was connected to Glen/Glenda when she first appeared but that doesn't seem to be the case.

by Anonymousreply 143November 15, 2022 12:45 AM

I want Devon to find a new boyfriend, and dump stupid Jake.

Jake seems more into the Chucky doll, than Devon.

by Anonymousreply 144November 15, 2022 1:36 AM

Is the therapist the same actress who slit Brenda's throat in the original Scary Movie? They remind me of each other and both were Canadian productions.

by Anonymousreply 145November 16, 2022 8:43 PM

R145 She's not listed as being in Scary Movie on her IMDB page.

Brad Dourif is fantastic in general, love him.

by Anonymousreply 147November 16, 2022 9:25 PM

Is tonight the season finale?

by Anonymousreply 148November 17, 2022 1:37 AM

What a terrible episode.

It was all over the place, and I couldn't make any sense of what was going on.

Does Don Mancini have ADD or something? He doesn't seem to have any focus.

At least last season made sense. This season doesn't.

by Anonymousreply 149November 17, 2022 9:36 AM

So Andy and Kyle's story arc is finished. Yay.

I'm glad they weren't killed off. They were just written out of the script, and given a satisfying ending.

Unfortunately, we're still stuck with Jennifer Tilly and Nica Pierce. FUCK!!

Devon Sawa's death scene was epic!! It made no sense, but it was still very entertaining.

I missed it, but did his Priest character admit to being gay or something? He was hot when he took off his shirt.

Next week is the finale, and I have no clue where the writers are going to go with the story.

by Anonymousreply 150November 17, 2022 3:46 PM

I think it's safe to say that they'll be a 3rd season.

I hope they wrap up all the current characters storylines and just do a reset with all new characters next season. They've all ran they're course, and we really don't need another season of Chucky vs Jake, Devon and Lexi. Have Chucky terrorizing a new group of people.

by Anonymousreply 151November 17, 2022 6:13 PM

The first season had higher highs, but this was more consistently entertaining.

by Anonymousreply 152November 17, 2022 6:28 PM

Finale is tonight!

by Anonymousreply 153November 24, 2022 4:01 AM

That finale was batshit insane and made absolutely no sense.

by Anonymousreply 154November 24, 2022 5:08 AM

That episode was pretty crazy. I did like the scene with Lexi and her mother at the dinner table though. That episode made it even more glaring how Jake and Devon have no romantic chemistry. It's too bad they killed off Glenn and Glenda, at least played by Lachlan Watson, whom I thought did a good job in the roles.

It looks like next season will be Jake, Devon, Lexie, their teacher Miss Fairchild, and Nica vs Chucky trying to get Caroline in NYC. Maybe Tiffany too, if she somehow survives. That story is starting to wear thin for me.

Not looking forward to seeing aspie Caroline regularly. Ugh. I did like the teacher though from what was shown of her so far though.

I wonder if they'll find another way to work Devon Sawa in as a new character?

by Anonymousreply 155November 24, 2022 9:36 AM

I think psychiatry is one of the last things Hollywood can mercilessly mock without any serious blowback (for some reason.)

by Anonymousreply 156November 24, 2022 5:40 PM

Having never been familiar with her before this show, I think Fiona Dourif has done an amazing job. I'd even say she at least deserved awards consideration for her turn as her dad last season.

by Anonymousreply 157November 25, 2022 2:14 AM

R155 Devon can be a go-go boy in the big apple. He can be drooled over by Devon thus making Jake jealous.

I agree R157. Fiona is a great actress & nails her role every time.

I enjoyed the ending. I didn't see so many of the plot twists coming. I liked Miss Fairchild from Season 1 & she probably has a secret or two as well.

Bravo to the writers for turning so many tables in the final episode. Now the waiting for season 3 will kill me.

by Anonymousreply 158November 25, 2022 2:20 AM

The Belle doll turning out to be Chucky all along was so over the top.....lol Not my favorite episode but still entertaining.

by Anonymousreply 159November 25, 2022 2:29 AM

I'm impressed that Don Mancini wrote the original Child's Play by age 25.

Do his talents extend beyond the Chucky franchise? I'm curious to see his gay-camp-horror take on other material.

by Anonymousreply 160November 25, 2022 2:42 AM

[quote] Not looking forward to seeing aspie Caroline regularly.

I love Caroline! She's so cute and weird. I didn't see her turning to the dark side, though.

I thought that Jake and Devon in their snuggie pajamas was just the most adorable thing ever. It's like puppy love, which was too cute for words.

The scene in Lexi's bedroom was uncharacteristically sweet and sentimental for this franchise.

I should have known that something was coming. And that something was Chucky sawing Lexi's mom in half!!!

I love how the police don't even suspect Jake, Devon and Lexi. Especially after they went to juvie for blowing up Gary.

Do the cops not find it the least bit odd that everyone around them ends up DEAD???

Rofl.

by Anonymousreply 161November 25, 2022 2:52 AM

I'm glad to see Lexy's mom back. She's a fun character, but I wish she were a little less cartoon horrible and more complex horrible - like a character from The White Lotus.

by Anonymousreply 162November 25, 2022 7:57 AM

R151 [They've all ran they're course]

by Anonymousreply 163November 25, 2022 8:13 AM

R162 You won't have to worry about that next season

by Anonymousreply 164November 25, 2022 3:34 PM

Lol R163.

R151's grammar is even more horrible than Chucky himself!!

by Anonymousreply 165November 25, 2022 3:37 PM

The Michelle Cross character had serious potential, but they blew it in so many ways. Mancini most likely planned to kill her off in season one,but Barbara Woods begged him not to.

by Anonymousreply 166November 26, 2022 6:43 PM

One of the issues with this franchise is that the kid characters are too naive for their age and shouldn't buy into Chucky so easily (Andy in the original, Tyler in 3, the little girl in Curse and Caroline in this show). I think even Mancini admits it (at least he did with Tyler).

by Anonymousreply 167November 26, 2022 7:33 PM

Jennifer Tilly and Barbara Woods look insanely young for their age. The 21st century has been a godsend for celebrity grandmas. Talk about GILFs.

by Anonymousreply 168November 26, 2022 8:13 PM

R168 I looked them both up & they're 64 (!) & 60 respectively. I never knew Tilly was half-Chinese (but I've only seen her in this franchise) & I wasn't familiar with the mayor actress's credits (The Golden Girls?) before.

I didn't even know she was playing momma to her real-life daughter. No wonder she had some pull on avoiding her season 1 death.
