Pelosi once famously said to Trump, "Everything with you leads to Putin" . Who else thinks the FBI raid
on Trump has to do with defense docs he was keeping to sell to Russia?
And why they had to raid, not subpoena. This article is interesting. Read it.
"By tradition, incumbent Presidents extend access to classified info, as needed, to their successors. Notably, Biden did not, citing Trump’s 'erratic behavior.'"
"At least 3 reasons make a subpoena inappropriate to recover classified docs," he continued. "First, classified documents are the property of the USG. In the hands of an unauthorized person, they are contraband. Imagine using a subpoena to demand the return of $10k stolen by a bank robber. In the words of Asha Rangappa, a subpoena implies the recipient is the lawful custodian or bailor of the property. That’s why the govt has to clear a hurdle and provide a reason to get it. If you are an unauthorized possessor, you are simply a thief holding stolen property."

He never laughs. Did you ever notice that? Snide smirk, shit-eating grin, yes. But never true laughter. He's incapable of the feeling.

If this is true, they must already have documentation which proves Trump was actively dangling the classified materials in Putin's face.

Why stop with Russia when Manafort just admitted to collusion in the 2016 campaign?

Tribal Dems (about 20% of America, at most) are obsessed with Trump and Putin.
No one else cares much.

It's all speculation until he's formally indicted. But the smart money is that he was trying to sell classified info to the highest bidder.
It makes me really happy to think of all the agita and tantrums he's having right now. Maybe he'll finally stroke out!

Highest bidder = Russia. Maybe China. Less likely, Arabs.

The FBI tried to destroy Martin Luther King so they have been used as a tool against political opponents by the administration in power from way back. Time to break up this rogue organization so they can never again be used by the Democrats or Republicans against politicians or our citizens. I think they stepped in it this time very openly in a moment of desperation to "Get Trump!".

Get trump? The fucker was told to return the files and he refused. He forced the doj’s hand.

And then when they went to get the files in June, he didn't turn them all over, so a whistleblower had to tell them where to find the rest of the hidden files.
Aaaand now that he and the GOP and his toothless sycophants have been going after the FBI, to the point that some nutball tried to breach the Cincinnati FBI office, Garland is calling his bluff and asking a federal judge for permission to release the warrant.
The FBI isn't the one who "stepped in it."

What was in the safe is the real question. It's awfully interesting how the day after 1/6, Qevin McCarthy, Miss Lindsey, etc. all were disavowing Dump. Then they go down to Florida and do a reversal. I hope we get to find out the contents of that safe, mainly to humiliate, laugh, and jeer at all of these traitorous fuck-sticks.

I think they (U.S. Government) have plenty of evidence about, at the very least, Trump’s deep financial debt to Russia and Saudi Arabia and how he did not act in U.S. interests when those two countries were involved. I think releasing it would be so explosive it won’t come out for decades. If the U.S. admits Trump was a traitor in office and elected illegally, the next question would be: what about the judges he appointed, laws he signed? That would be highly destructive for the country.

"The most unexpected statute that the DOJ cited to is 18 U.S.C. 1519, which is typically used to charge the obstruction of justice by destroying or concealing evidence. The statutory language is broad enough that DOJ could be investigating whether Trump impeded agency functions,"

The Espionage Act is seldom used but fearsome.
Former president Barack Obama used it to prosecute government employees for leaking information, and Donald Trump used it against Reality Winner, a National Security Agency contractor who leaked documents about Russian interference in the 2016 elections.

Yes, and Reality Winner went to prison for leaking ONE 5-page classified document to The Intercept.
DOJ isn't joking around, based on what has been revealed in the Mar-a-Lago warrant.
