"The nicest way to say this is that he wasn't a natural when our kids were born," she said in May 2020. "He wasn't immediately pushing strollers and carrying babies. He jokes that it took him a good 10 years to warm up."

Jerry and Jessica tied the knot on Christmas Day in 1999, a year after they met.

I've been re-watching Seinfeld episodes in order for the first time since the original airings. They still make me laugh, but I'm only in Season 3, and I know what's coming in the weaker middle seasons. A funny thing about watching again now after Curb Your Enthusiasm is that off-screen male voices on Seinfeld were often done by Larry David. His voice is so unmistakable. It's also clear that most of the Seinfeld characters were channeling at some time or another Larry David's stock character on Curb Your Enthusiasm.

During the first season of Seinfeld, I posted on a Usenet Group that I thought the show was too New York to be funny to most of the rest of America. Clearly, I was wrong!

I think Wayne Brady is decent. I still laugh at Seinfeld and try not to think about the real people behind the characters.

Photo at OP is his best. He does have nice skin. That may come from Jerry's mother, who was (I believe) Mizrahi Jewish. It could also be from spending a lot of time in sunny places, as the son of a very wealthy man.

I never did understand why they killed off Susan's character, and yes it always did seem unusually mean to me, how they went about it.

Sorry, but as the photograph posted by R18 reveals, there is NOTHING attractive about the Seinfeld family. Jerry Seinfeld has always been a very ugly man inside and out, and his wife is just hideous (the photo from her Wikipedia entry at R22 is awful enough to cause nightmares). Sadly for their children, they have all inherited their parents' beady eyes and misshapen mouths, while the daughter has her mother's horrible cucumber nose and her father's horse teeth, to boot.

Sorry, but I have never understood why people enjoy Seinfeld's frantic type of comedy so much - it's hystrionic and childishly overacted, not to mention repetitive.
