Aww, that’s a shame.

He really taught Daniel well in karate.

by Anonymousreply 1August 9, 2022 3:46 PM

RIP genius

by Anonymousreply 2August 9, 2022 3:53 PM

He had to sashay away......

by Anonymousreply 3August 9, 2022 3:55 PM

I confuse him with Isaac Mizrahi.

by Anonymousreply 4August 9, 2022 3:55 PM

His OG cologne smelt wonderful

by Anonymousreply 5August 9, 2022 3:56 PM

I thought that he was already dead. An early casualty of AIDS…

by Anonymousreply 6August 9, 2022 4:12 PM

You were wrong again.

by Anonymousreply 7August 9, 2022 4:32 PM

I always confuse him with Chicken Teriyaki.

by Anonymousreply 8August 9, 2022 4:33 PM

He dressed them to kill. And then he died.

by Anonymousreply 9August 9, 2022 4:44 PM

Strongly agree about the OG cologne. Crisp and clean

The clothes were great but maybe an acquired taste. RIP

by Anonymousreply 10August 9, 2022 4:48 PM

Don’t go mixing up our names. I’m still here, bitches.

He had a line of nice scents, both for men and women.

RIP.

by Anonymousreply 12August 9, 2022 5:23 PM

I get him confused with DL fave Miyoshi Umeki.

by Anonymousreply 13August 9, 2022 6:01 PM

I believe you mean DL fave Miyoshi FUCKING Umeki, R13.

by Anonymousreply 14August 9, 2022 6:12 PM

He sure had a filthy mouth, but he was unforgettably delicate and coy as Mei Li in FLOWER DRUM SONG.

by Anonymousreply 15August 9, 2022 6:14 PM

He was pretty hot when he was younger.

Was he a gay like most male fashion designers?

by Anonymousreply 16August 9, 2022 6:17 PM

Yes, he looks very handsome in OP’s photo.

by Anonymousreply 17August 9, 2022 6:36 PM

Is L'eau D'Issey still being made? I love that perfume.

by Anonymousreply 18August 9, 2022 6:39 PM

Loved his novels, especially Remains of the Day.

by Anonymousreply 19August 9, 2022 6:46 PM

Fashion visionary

by Anonymousreply 20August 9, 2022 6:47 PM

Who had him?

by Anonymousreply 21August 9, 2022 6:47 PM

by Anonymousreply 29August 9, 2022 8:20 PM

Not leading with his pronouns was literally violence OP.

by Anonymousreply 30August 9, 2022 8:43 PM

Suppose I'd better hang on to my dregs of my faovurite clean, classy, chilly, sunny, prickly, intellectual freshie L'eau Bleu Fraiche, then.

A true master of design.

by Anonymousreply 32August 9, 2022 10:31 PM

I liked her song, “Fancy.”

by Anonymousreply 37August 9, 2022 11:37 PM

I love the fragrances and like the clothes. My favorite piece is black short navy cut coat, like a pea coat, with a huge lapel and cuffs made of synthetic monkey fur. It's outrageous and a bit sinister and yes made for a man. I got it at Harvey Nichols two decades ago during my super flush years. I remember that shopping holiday - I bought dozens of Jermyn Street shirts, and Penhaligon's colognes. I still have the coat and bottle or two of dwindling Penhaligon's.

by Anonymousreply 38August 10, 2022 2:43 AM

Surprised by the comments here. Very disappointing, DL. This guy was ironic. I still remember his sunglasses from Pet Shop Boys video Suburbia.

by Anonymousreply 39August 10, 2022 3:09 AM

who?

by Anonymousreply 40August 10, 2022 3:39 AM

Extremely handsome man, especially when he was young.

Brought a huge sense of fashion and fun to fashion.

by Anonymousreply 41August 10, 2022 3:46 AM

WHO!?

by Anonymousreply 42August 10, 2022 7:52 AM

R41 I think the opposite. He aged into a distinguished DILF. Young he wasn't all that.

by Anonymousreply 43August 10, 2022 10:36 AM

Yohji Yamamoto is 78, and Rei Kawakubo is 79. Kenzo Takada died at 81 in 2020 from COVID.

by Anonymousreply 44August 10, 2022 10:40 AM

Has Isaac Mizrahi commented?

by Anonymousreply 45August 10, 2022 12:41 PM

Why would a middle-eastern ethnicity Jewish American in particular have a comment about a Japanese man, twat brain R45?
