Comedy Albums

Today, I was going through boxes of things that belonged to my dad. While sitting through his old records, I found some comedy recordings. I hadn't thought about these since I was a kid. There are several Redd Foxx albums because my dad was a huge fan. I listened to a few and was surprised how much I laughed and by how bawdy Foxx's comedy was. Now I know why my parents wouldn't allow me to hear these records when I was a kid. Times have sure changed.

Does anybody remember listening to comedy records? Did your parents?

At age nine, I played my parents’ Don Rickles album. They weren’t amused.
