R2, yep. One of the morning news shows, don’t remember which, said he was laying the groundwork sometime back. Wonder if he’ll come up with any new restrictions, or just mimic those of DeSantis.

I would like to see the details of this proposed law. I’m not relying on the description on Twitter by a Democratic state senator.

Why is this tweet from this state senator the only thing mentioning this? Let's see if Senator Lucas is just blowing smoke up our asses.

I see this article on WP from 8/3, but it doesn't say what she claims.

R6, because he’s been so reasonable up to now, right? This is the actual bill. No, it does not specifically refer to homosexuality—it doesn’t have to. It gives what are, in essence, extensive censorship powers to parents over any teaching materials.

Day after day I get more and more in favor of violence against conservatives.

That Xtra* magazine article starts off with a claim that "a new censorship bill gives parents the power to ban so-called 'sexually explicit' books and educational materials from schools", but then in the next paragraph it immediately backtracks to stating what the WP article stated, that the bill requires parental notice of sexually explicit content in the curriculum. Further down in the article there's speculation that somehow the law could be used to do what the unsupported claim states even though the law doesn't include that. The article states that Adam Polaski, a communications director for the Campaign for Southern Equality, tells Xtra in an emailed statement. “It is so vague that it could empower anti-LGBTQ+ forces to contest a broad range of educational materials, such as those that simply include LGBTQ+ characters or historic figures.” That's not even close to "gives parents the power to ban so-called 'sexually explicit' books and educational materials from schools." Sheesh.

They hate gays. Conservatives want us dead or back to living in the shadows.

Guys, stop acting like Qanon followers on the left believing every speculation and political assertion out there by "your side."
