At Island House all seems to breathe freedom and peace, and to make one forget the world and its sad turmoils.

Just another clothing optional gay men’s resort. Mostly couples. Few singles. Day passes for men not willing to pay exorbitant room rates. 2 hot tubs, small steam and sauna. Bunk room open 24 hrs. for casual encounters.

Has its own bar/restaurant, which actually isn’t bad. So you could actually spend all days of your stay in the resort.

There are other clothing optional gay places in Key West, but none has as many amenities.

I always find in clothing optional resorts that the wrong people take the option of no clothes

As a native floridian Ive been to the Keys many,many times. Fantastic place to party,but the hottest men are usually tourists with their wives. The locals , not so hot. Hadnt been there in years now,it might have changed . Back in the day it was delightfully weird and trashy.

Along with Palm Springs, Key West used to be one of the two best gay resort destinations in the U.S. Palm Springs still is. But Key West was decimated by AIDS, and hasn’t really recovered.

Another factor has been the arrival of numerous cruise ships, whose daily inundations of tourists have considerably changed the whole place. There are still gay places there, but the gay presence is so diminished as to be peripheral.
