Tea Time with The Tillys: Jennifer and Meg

I have never seen the two of them together anymore. Jennifer is sort of a DL icon thanks to her role in Bullets Over Broadway and the Chucky movies.

Meg will appear in the second season of Chucky.

Jennifer looks great and she’s really funny and down to earth in interviews. She has an iconic jeeelry collection. Her voice isn’t for all but I am a fan. She was The only good thing about that awful remake of The Getaway with Alec Baldwin and Lim Basinger. The cuckold sex scene with her is dark and hilarious.

I love the Tilly sisters; both come across as kind, grounded, and appreciative of the success they enjoyed in the industry.

Jennifer was the first to pursue an acting career, but Meg found mainstream success earlier and had a good run from the '80s to early '90s. She was even considered for the Oscar-winning female roles in 'The Accidental Tourist,' 'The Accused,' and 'The Silence of the Lambs' (she screen tested for the first two but didn't get them; she turned down the chance to interview for 'Silence' because the subject matter was too disturbing to her).

Jennifer really shined in 'Bullets Over Broadway' and was able to parlay her Oscar nomination into roles in higher profile film and TV projects. I particularly love her in 'Bound' with Gina Gershon, and she's always a fabulous talk show guest.

In this episode, Meg talks about her first Golden Globe experience and winning for Agnes of God. Make sure you stay til the end. I was never all that crazy about Meg as an actress, but I fell in love with her her. She's a sweet, wonderful woman!

The two of them are hilarious.

I've always liked both of them. They seem kind and grounded. It's a shame Meg took so much time off from her career but I respect that she put herself and her family before Hollywood.

They were talking about when Meg was a ballerina in NYC. I remember seeing her in The Big Chill. She was much thinner with a dancer's body. She even did some stretches. like a dancer warming up, in some scenes.

She's not a plastic surgery, balloon lipped, trying to be a 20 year old woman at her age....like a lot of Hollywood women....but natural and seems happy. She loves to laugh in her videos and has a bubbly personality. She has a youthful face, good skin...except for her gray hair, which I think looks good. I like the natural gray. I know this isn't the DL standard.

Gotta hand it to Meg and her husband - the sound on these videos is absolutely pristine, far above the quality of most YouTubers. There’s rich ambience to the room and clarity to her voice that really captures an intimacy. And, of course, she’s lovely. It’s inspired silliness that allows her lovely personality to emerge.

I hope Meg or her husband don't get mauled by a bear.

Just that photo of Meg makes me think she probably did a killer Martha in Virginia Woolf.

So many haters. They are quirky. Yet when stars are all the same, we complain too. At least they have distinct personalities and don't look like every other THOT in TV, streamer movies today.

I loved Meg Tilly in the (terrible) remake of Invasion of the Body Snatchers. She's so calm and scary and then just when you're expecting a sort of muffled scream like in the 70s version, she does this!

Meg was good in “Bomb Girls”- (you can watch the first season on Amazon) where a much younger HAWT Italian guy Antonio Cupo seduces her. It is a very low brow production but I liked it anyways. The other seasons pare on MOBI but too many commercials.

R49 Their real last name is Chan. Their mother's name was Tilly. I believe their dad was 1/2 chinese, which makes them both 1/4.

These two would be hilarious as the Brewster sisters in a remake of Arsenic & Old Lace.

Valmont was excellent, but suffered by being released after Dangerous Liasons. I'd give DL the slight edge, (and that edge's name is Glenn Close!).

Meg is being Meg. She's fine looking old. Jennifer is more of the diva. She's funny and self deprecating in interviews. I read one interview about her extensive jewelry collection. She's loaded from her ex. She got something like 20 million when they divorced. They remained friends and she took care of him as he died from cancer, and then he left her a ton more money.

Back in the day, I used to think Meg was the older sister because of her personality and the fact that her success came first. I associate Meg with the 80s and Jennifer with the 90s. They have a younger sister named Rebecca who doesn't appear to be in show business. The epicanthal fold is such a strong genetic trait in people of Asian descent. If I didn't know their background, I would think they were fully Chinese, especially Jennifer.

They were successful because they come across as sexually available submissive child-women in a lot of their roles, the breathy voices and big ta-tas.

I accidentally discovered her YouTube channel earlier this year. I just love Meg Tilly and loath F Murray Abraham for the way he treated her on Valmont (the stories about her experiences on Valmont are terriffic)

I don't R69 is true, Meg came across as smart and grounded and Jennifer came across as a broad you wouldn't fuck with. Jennifer's voice especially contrasted her bawdy personality in a hilarious way. I also like that they look like real women, both were beautiful in their prime but also had curvy figures and full faces! Imagine that!

Even Monica Moran was nothing if not determined.

Meg has that squeaky doll voice too, never realized this until I watched the vlog.

Meg could always modulate her voice better than Jennifer could.

Jennifer Tilly is a hilarious delight in this interview (fast-forward past Illeana Douglas’s chatter at the beginning). Her Oscar nomination quest is a hoot, and I literally laughed out loud when she mentioned Edy Williams! Also interesting to hear about her working with Woody Allen!
