TV legend Elinor Donahue
She's 85 now, but she's one of the few adults from the Golden Age of television still around.
She was Andy Griffith's girlfriend, the pharmacist Ellie Walker, but Dataloungers probably remember best as Betty "Princess" Anderson on "Father Knows Best," who on one hand could say pretentious things like "Father, we'll be ever so excruciatingly late!" But could also throw down with the best of them, such as the episode where one of her friends disses her mother, she steely hisses back, ""Keep my mother's name out of your mouth, or I'll slap you like you've never been slapped before."
She deserves her own thread.

It was a small part but I loved her in “Pretty Woman”.
And that was the gayest thing that I’ve said in a while.

I'm a fan. Father Knows Best is my absolute favorite of the 50s family sitcoms. I love the Andersons and Betty 'Princess' Anderson always had the time. Typical 50s TV teenage girl but she could read a bitch and she would only put up with Bud and Kathy/Kitten's foolishness to a point.
She also appeared several times in Dr. Quinn, Medicine Woman, another one of my all time favorite shows, as Dr. Michaela Quinn's (Jane Seymour) sister.

She did a Love Boat that sounds like it would be horrible but was one of my favorites. Elinor Donahue plays a daughter trying to keep her mother from getting married. Minnie Pearl(but not in character) played her mother and Arthur Godfrey played Minnie's beau. It was just one of the most gentle charming love stories I've seen on there.

R11 That is partly what was surprising he and cousin Minnie really underplayed it, compared to usual. I think it was his last tv role.

"Keep my mother's name out of your filthy mouth, or I swear to God I will fuck you raw with my closed fist!!"
And then she went on to win the title of Homecoming Queen.

She was Stefano DiMera's henchman, or rather henchwoman, Kate Honeycutt, for a couple of years in the mid 1980s.

Don’t forget her in “Metamorphosis,” one of the best episodes of the original STAR TREK TV series. Cast opposite hunky, blue-eyed Glenn Corbett, she gave one of her best performances and looked absolutely beautiful while giving it. It’s also one of the best love stories (with a sci-fi twist) that series ever did.
