The thread about the Nylons took me back to the late 80s and a renaissance of gay musicians and music. The absolute kings (queens?) were Ron Romanovsky and Paul Phillips, who blended humor and political commentary with pleasant voices and some great ballads. They were a staple at pride events for years. Their career started to wane about the same time their relationship did -moving from a romantic as well as professional partnership to a final-days-of-Sonny-and-Cher duo that still performed together. Some of the political references are a bit dated, but the ballads still resonate.
