Send a message to Attorney General Garland

Let’s flood him with demands to prosecute Donald Trump. You can select Message for Attorney General in the drop down menu and post a reasonably long argument. The idea that the former guy could escape by declaring himself a candidate for President again is sickening.

This is the message I sent:

[quote]Please don’t allow Former President Trump to escape prosecution by declaring himself a candidate again! The man obviously conspired to stay in office even though he lost a fair election. He took many specific actions between the election and Jan 6 to subvert our democracy. This kind of autocratic activity cannot be allowed if our democracy is to survive.

Thanks for sharing this, OP. I sent a message urging Garland to hold a news conference to clarify the intent of that memo.

If you prefer a more direct approach:

DOJ phone number: 202-514-2000

DOJ email: AskDOJ@usdoj.gov

Good luck. I am afraid they will all fall on deaf ears and blind eyes.

R4 If enough people flood his number or e-mail, it will send a message that the American people are demanding accountability.

by Anonymousreply 5July 19, 2022 2:49 PM

^^ Right.

Another message:

[quote]The Mueller Report stated that Donald Trump could be prosecuted for Obstruction of Justice once he was out of office. Minority Leader McConnell said after the impeachment hearing that Trump could be prosecuted after he was out of office for trying to subvert the election by inciting the insurrection on Jan 6. Why hasn’t that happened?

by Anonymousreply 7July 19, 2022 3:13 PM

Why? He doesn’t think what we feel should have any bearing on his decisions.

Send a message. This is something to do instead of just ranting & wringing hands. It can’t hurt.

by Anonymousreply 9July 19, 2022 7:55 PM

The pressure may be working.

I sent a message. A lot of good it'll do, but it can't hurt.

by Anonymousreply 11July 21, 2022 2:03 PM

Thanks for doing the leg work for us, OP.

Much appreciated!

The "pressure" wasn't "working." It was revealed tonight that there has been an investigation with an impaneled grand jury going on for some time now.

What was with all of these threads screaming about Merrick Garland? Also, why were there no threads cheering when it was announced tonight that there HAVE been DOJ investigations into Trump, and they're going on now?

He should be sent to GitMo for trying to classify the parents of girls raped by trannies in schools as Domestic Terrorists. At least, Trump isn't a Flat Earther like the "Biology Is Imaginary" crew.
