Steroids can alter people's sexual orientation?
I occasionally watch fitness channels on YT in order to get information, and I've been surprised to find several videos like the ones below.
Apparently, steroids not only increase aggressiveness, sex drive and anti-social behaviour, but they also cause some people to start fantasizing about sex with men and sleeping with transsexuals and cross dressers?
This is one of the oddest things I have ever heard.

When I was on testosterone, it made me more horny—for guys.

YouTube is only misinformation today.

Was it the steroids that turned them gay, or does all that worship of these “shredded” muscle physiques in gyms and on social media awaken their latent same-sex desire as they strive to build the body of their fantasies?

The guy on that Reddit is just a raging closet case. There are a lot of those on Reddit. Homophobic too.

They also like to have sex with really fat women too. Fat women signify a woman with great resources for future children. Transsexuals signify social status and decadence. It makes sense that a straight man with altered sexual drive would be drawn to these groups. If they are newly into gay guys, it means they were already bisexual, but now they are horny enough to indulge. I'm a gay man and I've never found a single transsexual, transgender, or crossdresser to be attractive in anyway. And I've never met an actual gay guy who likes those types.

I have no idea, R3. Apparently, there is a physiological reason for the sudden change in their "orientation" and for many, those feelings disappear once they stop taking steroids - however, for others the change is supposedly permanent. Also, according to the guy who has that channel, many steroids users become sex addicts because their libido is out of control, and they constantly need newer and more extreme experiences in order to become aroused.
I have no idea whether it's just a rationalization for latent bisexuality/homosexuality, a result of exogenous influences or the fact that fetishes come to the forefront for some bodybuilders, but I have found it curious nonetheless.
In the video below, he talks about guys who suddenly enjoy being pegged and have fantasies about pre-op transsexuals and men after taking steroids... I do find it peculiar.

Joe Rogan copying Howard Stern, again.
Ronnie the Limo Drive doesn’t need “tren” to get pegged.

Sorry R8, but no. The video first talks about Joe Rogan's foot fetish, and then it talks about men who take steroids and enjoy being pegged/cucked or sleeping with transsexuals and men. They are two completely different things.

Some posters on DL mentioned that about FtM who were lesbians pre transition and steroids made them horny and search for guys. But, it is a different thing since they are women. They possibly were not 100% lesbians and had low libido before and when testosterone increased thier libido their innate heterosexuality was awaken.
Probably the same with this guys, the latent needs get awakened with bigger sex drive.

I don’t know what you’re talking about R9. “Pegging” has been talked about on Howard for years. Long before Joe Rogan. I think you’re talking about something else. I’m talking about Rogan being another Howard Stern wannabe.

What's more likely is that they were already gay but the libido increased too much to simply " shuffle aside" the thoughts and attraction to men.

Good point, R14. However, how could that explain the people for whom those "feelings" disappear once they've stopped taking steroids?

Your perspective is interesting, R17, but I was just curious regarding the notion that men's sexual preferences can change, either temporarily or permanently, due to the neurological effects of taking steroids. I agree with you and several other posters that these men are in all likelihood latently bisexual or gay, but I do find it peculiar that steroids cause them to completely lose control over their desires.
There's no need to throw accusations of attempted erasure and denial, when we're clearly on the same page.

R19 To put it simply, some chemical my boost your hunger and when you get the wolf appetite you want to eat meat, even though you are a vegetarian, but more of a vegetarian out of conviction than out of taste.
