Someone in one of the previous threads discussing this topic said something that really stuck with me, as I pondered as to why a man who has everything, would even consider something like this.

Everything is just a huge sham for them, and they are EXTREMELY emotionally shallow people, who get off on the chaos of manipulation because it gives them a (false) sense of control. They lose sight of how the rest of the normal people see them, as they attempt to appear “normal” by living very normal lives, with marriage, homeownership, kids, church, good jobs, etc., but in the end, it’s all a farce.

Most of these offenders get reported upon early on, but the wealthy ones are able to squash the accusations, as are the highly skilled manipulative ones.

That said, almost all of them eventually garner multiple accusations against them, and depending on who they are, how wealthy they are and who they surround themselves with, the accusations either stick, or magically disappear.

As Americans, we have a very difficult time believing that our rich and famous cannot be monsters, but I’m starting to understand that being a monster has very little to do with being rich and famous, as being rich and famous only helps hide shit, but doesn’t undo someone’s pathology.

There are a LOT of REALLY fucked up and sick people in this world, and for sure some of the people reading this comment are one of those people, and I’m deep denial.

“They separated 2 months ago but the respondent does not accept the separation,” he said of Martin, according to the protection order, adding that the singer “calls him frequently.” He also accused Martin of “hanging around his residence on at least 3 occasions.”

Based on these claims, a judge granted the temporary restraining order set to expire Thursday, the day of the court hearing.

Marty Singer, one of Martin’s attorneys, previously told NBC News that “the person who made this claim is struggling with deep mental health challenges. Ricky Martin has, of course, never been — and would never be — involved in any kind of sexual or romantic relationship with his nephew.”

In a Facebook livestream this month, Eric Martin, one of the singer's half brothers, also said the allegations were made by a nephew who suffers from "mental health problems."

Following Thursday's hearing, a judge will determine whether to expand the protection order for a longer period of time or dismiss the case.

The court hearing is set to take place at the the San Juan Municipal Court.

Martin is expected to appear remotely since he is in Los Angeles preparing to perform at the Hollywood Bowl this weekend, his representatives said.

On July 3, Martin released his own statement on Twitter, saying the “protection order entered against me is based on completely false allegations, so I will respond through the judicial process with the facts and the dignity that characterizes me."

"I am grateful for the countless messages of solidarity, and I receive them with all my heart,” he added.

In one of the court cases stating why he got taken away from his mother (her mistreating and neglecting him), it stated that he has conduct and emotional problems. That was back in 2016, when he was 14/15. And last year he got a restraining order put out on him for stalking and threatening to kill a woman, and his appeal failed. Ricky's brother Eric seemed to be one of the closest people to the nephew (there are tons of pics of them together and reportedly the nephew originally wanted to be a bodybuilder like him) and even he said the nephew has problems they've been dealing with for a while and has attacked family before, including his grandmother.

And if the instagram IS his then his mental problems run even deeper than what Eric is suggesting. Scared enough of Ricky to want a restraining but then talks about how much he loves him and calls him "a good man" and daddy. Says he’s been through so much he started drinking, and then calls everybody jealous of him. Straight up calls Ricky daddy and posts an instagram story of a stick figure twerking on a pic of Ricky while calling people jealous. Said him losing weight and getting fillers and plastic surgery is Ricky’s fault and then goes on to say he was ugly before and thanks Ricky for making him beautiful.

Not saying Ricky can't take advantage of a troubled youth but this is case where the alleged victim actually does have a history of mental, emotional, and conduct problems and it's not just somebody calling them crazy.

But yes Ricky talking with the judge himself will be interesting, as is Ricky's rep confirming he will be performing at the hollywood bowl this weekend. Either he's 100% innocent and knows he'll get off the hook, or he did it but believes it wasn't so bad and his celebrity will be enough to sway the judge.
