SANFORD & SON
I've been revisiting old reruns on Pluto and this show still holds up as being one of the greatest comedies of all time.
Right now is the run of episodes where Redd Foxx is on strike so Whitman "Grady" Mayo has stepped up as Lamont's guardian. He's just as funny as Foxx, in my opinion.
What are your favorite episodes?
I'm pissed cause they discontinued Ripple back in 1984 and I was only 9 then so I never got to taste it.

One of my big life goals is moving to a bigger house so I can get three cats and name them Lamont, Grady, and Aunt Esther.
(I already had an orange tabby named Fred.)

The infamous Mama's Baby, Papa's Maybe is clearly the best in the series. Hilariously funny and well written but also quite touching when Lamont expresses his loyalty to Fred. Aunt Esther gets the biggest laugh of the series when she asks Griff "What did you say N-word" but the second biggest when it's revealed she gave it up to Griff when he mistakenly snuck into his room.

Prime has the 1980 follow up SANFORD and I'm just watching it for the first time.
I don't see why it failed, the writing is just as sharp as the original series and it is funny seeing Fred interact with a wealthy fiancee and her circle.
