Why don't men wear makeup when going out, like women do?

Agreed. But taking care of one's skin through eating well, drinking a lot of water, and getting proper sleep and exercise is far more effective than any kind of cosmetics found anywhere. That said, at the very least, I recommend regular exfoliation, & daily applications of SPF moisturizer.

Makeup on non-drag men is generally like upper eyelid plastic surgery on men.

It never works, looks preposterous, and only attracts attention for all the wrong reasons.

Because makeup, foundation anyway, looks horrible on cheeks that need to be shaved every day.

Some do. Most try not to make it obvious. Not all makeup is lipstick, rouge, powder, and eyeliner.

I will bet that most women, if they were to be completely honest, wish that makeup didn't exist. If we lived in a society in which wearing absolutely no makeup were normalized, I think the concept of "beauty" would change drastically. Plus, years and years of applying that crap into your pores cannot be good for one's skin.

Men don't wear makeup because they don't have to go out of their way in competition to pick up women, just look and act reasonably normal and nice.
