I know a lot of you order from Chewy- they've been hacked
If you have a chewy dot com account you should log in, remove any stored payment methods, check your recent orders, check your autoship orders and change your password as soon as possible.
They haven't said anything but at least hundreds of people have had orders they didn't place shipped to people that they don't know.
Its lokely ebay drop shippers doing it, fulfilling orders they receive and paying with your account.

Your link doesn't work but I found this on Reddit - it's happening a lot, especially if for people who use Paypal with Chewy.

Yes. Fortunately, my paypal wasn't linked and my saved card had expired. I thought it was a random hack until I googled and saw it was pretty wide spread and thought I'd let people know. Scammers gonna scam on ebay

Thanks OP. Just updated my info. My PayPal was hacked last month. Luckily I caught it quickly and PayPal was able to stop all charges. Its getting hard to keep up.

It's craziness but part of me is like, that's ingenious. What kind of person thinks to start as a seller on ebay/amazon, list items from a specific store like chewy for a lower price, hack into/have access to logins and place the orders from the store shipping to the ebay listing customer?
One of my friends checked her account and an autoship had also been set up, the email notification had gone to her spam folder.

Thanks. I haven’t heard about it. I’ll check my account now.

They haven't admitted it yet r5, it's only been discussed on forums. They're going to have to address it at some point I would assume. Makes me wonder how many other businesses are hacked and never say anything

Found this comment on Reddit forum from a month ago:
"i work at chewy and honestly we always got fraud orders here and there, but now i’m seeing at least 20 fraud orders a day. multiply that by the 500-700 other CS employees (roughly), we’re getting a shit load of fraud orders. paypal and gmail had data leaks recently. the majority of the orders are either using paypal or using the gmail account to reset the chewy password and take over the account. our team has been aware of this, and this has been a thing for at least two months. chewy has a reputation of not fixing anything"

I watch my credit card transactions like a hawk but I doubt most people bother reading their statements once a month. The fraud business must be super profitable.

Thanks for mentioning this; I don’t use Chewy very much. But I just checked and there were no unauthorized purchases. I removed the autopay info. I get text messages whenever my cards are charged, which helps cut down on the fraud.
