I enjoyed watching this video.

Between the music and the celebrity cameos it was like a weird Zen exercise.

Watching Naomi and whoever was wearing the pink dress navigate around each other is a great moment of unintentional camp.

However - whatever you think of Naomi - the bitch can wear a dress. She makes you forget just how absurd the garment is.

I don't understand how a dress with a train is in anyway practical or even really possible in terms of use. All you're doing is sweeping the floor and giving everyone else a chance to stand on what you're wearing.

I don't think Nicole likes the dress she's wearing. It looks like it weighs 50 pounds for one thing.

That was fun, fashion for global pandemic/nuclear fallout. I would have appreciated some sensible boot- wear to step over the deceased or wade through flood waters. I'm pretty sure the trance inducing music was Phillip Glass.

The music is absolutely SENSATIONAL. I'm obsessed with it. Those gaps of silence slowly building the drama. It makes the blood pulse! The older French actress had real presence in her walk. And you can see that he's trying to do something new. We're all for NEW. As much as I hate everything Kim K stands for, she and the dress were a perfect match.

R11 Was the actress you reference the blonde woman, very elegant, who appeared to be her 60s? I thought she did look phenomenal.

The overall aesthetic is not my thing, but I appreciate the work that went into the job.

What a sad and ghastly affair. A funeral procession of Stormtroopers, Slender Men, and death eaters. Some models couldn't even walk gracefully in those ghastly shoes. Then the camp at the end of the big gowns not fitting through the doors. And to top it all off, Kim Kardashian. What a shitshow.

I enjoyed most of the show. Kidman looked awkward. Dress didn't help. I shazamed the music. It came up as Ellipsis by Hanna Reyko

R7, trains are supposed to be impractical. It implies royalty. No one dare step on your train and you're wealthy enough to have someone else worry about the dirt. That's the fantasy. That's why brides wear them, they're supposed to be princesses on The Big Day.

Some were ugly some were not. The ugly ones were nevertheless uber fashionable and chic. Jolie laide is a concept lost on many.

That was fabulous. Agree the MUSIC made it. Fierce. The fashion is what is everywhere - anonymous and simple. But those hoop skirts were fabulous. Well done - especially that music.

I don’t understand the people filming with their phones - it is being professionally filmed and will be available online, why not just sit and enjoy the show?

R43 that is what kids do and they are all obsessed with eternal "youth" thus eternal relevancy. Also they will mindlessly spread it around their networks to show they were at the Balenciaga couture. It looks positively ridiculous but at least keeps them sitting up straight and somehow maying attention.

I doubt if anyone in the audience has ever worn a wetsuit (all the Slenderman neoprene outfits at the start of the show). Out of the water, you sweat profusely, keeping it all trapped inside. Reminds me of my clubbing days wearing vinyl pants, when taking them off, pools of sweat sliding off. Are the purses boomboxes too? They appear to have that pebbled speaker surface.

An actress (who was a runway model 3 decades ago) I worked with walked the past 2 Balenciaga shows- she's extremely tall and thin- almost skeletal- I think she was one of the Slenderman models.

This is a bad case of The Emperor's New Clothes: utter vacuity, misplaced arrogance and not an ounce of talent converging into one of the most disparagingly atrocious events imaginable. Most of the designs look like something that has been created by a 5-year-old, with the black pineapple-like dress, the hideous crumpled eiderdown ball gowns, the hooker dresses with trains and the 'jeans and crumpled, dirty T-shirt' looks being particularly low points. And let's not even talk about on top of Nicole Kidman's silver insulation roll dress, the faded, baggy jeans, the Blue Big Bird, bathrobe and the pink potato sack dresses.

If this is what passes for "haute couture" nowadays, it isn't any wonder that we're on the brink of cultural, economic and energy collapse - we're a declining society dominated by worthless, utterly incompetent idiots and this is reflected in how dismally bad everything we create has become.

Lighten up. Couture is a loss leader. It's branding. They dared to show the jeans and t-shirts because Balenciaga sells to urban monied people. Some of the gowns and dresses were no doubt made the traditional couture method - all by hand, which elaborate beading and embroidery. The cross-hatched silver beaded gown over black body suit was beautiful. That was clearly a traditional couture piece.

They had to cover their faces because even the models were ashamed to be traipsing through someone's living room looking like a hobo in a tablecloth with a stolen lunchbox in their hand.

The men and a few of the women appeared to have been tightly corsetted with hip pads. Part of why they are walking so strangely.

It’s not fashion, it’s not art, it’s just a bad trip resulting from cheap drugs, and a concept pulled together at the last minute. The show itself was good, so high praise to the marketing/media teams for delivering on their end.

Demna Gvasalia — oh, sorry, he just goes by “Demna” now — is a talentless self-promoting clown who has destroyed Balenciaga. Cristobal Balenciaga must be rolling in his grave. The fashion house built by a master couturier now makes $2,000 IKEA tote bags and “destroyed” sneakers that look stolen from the homeless. And, of course, plenty of logo-emblazoned hoodies and other cotton crap so that uber-rich Chinese kids can overpay to keep up with their fellow sweatshop heirs and heiresses. This “haute couture” show is the latest insult to a once-great house. Shrink-wrapped latex bodysuits and Kim K’s giant liposculpted ass. A vulgar spectacle having nothing to do with the artful expression and design excellence that once defined the brand.

I happened to like Naomi’s dress and the slim crystal gown.

The model in the wedding dress was doing her damndest to get through the doors gracefully.

When I was a slim young glamazon I would have proudly worn several of those black outfits. The asian boy in the cinched smoking. The black boy with the outrageous hourglass silhouette. The Slenderman Neoprene(?) Rubber(?) long black topcoats. A few fo the women wore beautiful gowns.

God, the shoes were hideous, and were those bluetooth speakers they were all carrying? Naomi looked like she was wearing a giant hefty bag that was stuffed to bursting. A few of the simpler dresses I liked, and I liked the veil on the wedding dress - though I don't think it really needs to come down to the hemline.

The men in their corsets reminded me of Aeon Flux, and most of them should have left their helmets on, as fully ruled the day.
