Is there any way to dress up Spaghettios?
by Anonymous | reply 57 | July 6, 2022 5:25 PM |
Anything can be saved with grated Romano.
by Anonymous | reply 1 | July 6, 2022 12:34 AM |
Mix with vomit.
by Anonymous | reply 2 | July 6, 2022 12:37 AM |
Add a cut up hot dog.
Spaghettios can't really be dressed up. It's like dipping a cowboy in dark chocolate - you just wind up with chocolate covered shit.
Embrace the low quality nostalgic food for what it is, or just give it a pass.

What’s “Spaghettios”, precious? What’s “Spaghettios”?
by Anonymous | reply 4 | July 6, 2022 12:38 AM |
*cow pie.
A cowboy dipped in chocolate might be pretty tasty - depending upon the cowboy.
by Anonymous | reply 5 | July 6, 2022 12:39 AM |
Give it to the dog.
by Anonymous | reply 6 | July 6, 2022 12:40 AM |
R6 I tried. He doesn't want it. Thus my question.

DM Greg...

When I was a kid I would make a Spaghettio sandwich with squishy white bread and Parkay.
by Anonymous | reply 9 | July 6, 2022 12:48 AM |
Yeah, eat it over buttered bread.
Don't give stuff like that to dogs. It can kill their liver.
by Anonymous | reply 10 | July 6, 2022 12:51 AM |
Toasted bread crumbs? Parmesan?
I haven't had spaghettios in so long I don't exactly remember what they taste like, but maybe add some spice?
by Anonymous | reply 11 | July 6, 2022 12:51 AM |
R9 I did the same but added ketchup instead of Parkay. Yikes!
by Anonymous | reply 12 | July 6, 2022 12:53 AM |
Roll in panko crumbs and deep fry. Ghetto arroncini.
by Anonymous | reply 13 | July 6, 2022 12:53 AM |
Bake it, perhaps like a French Onion soup. Cut up a focaccia, place it inside, like croutons. Add some ricotta. Add some mozzarella and parmigiano on top. Bake until brown. Delicious.
by Anonymous | reply 14 | July 6, 2022 1:00 AM |
Use it to dress up the inside of your trash can and eat something else.
by Anonymous | reply 15 | July 6, 2022 1:02 AM |
R14, that's the ruining of good food with bad food, not the barely saving from discard bad food with incorporation of a bit of good.
After that much work and investment, you may as well have made real food and it still won't taste that good.
by Anonymous | reply 16 | July 6, 2022 1:08 AM |
Yeah r14, I think if OP had focaccia and multiple cheese available he wouldn’t be trying to improve a can of Spaghettios.
by Anonymous | reply 17 | July 6, 2022 1:17 AM |
Mix it with ricotta cheese and a little bit of EVOO, place it in a baking dish, top it with shredded mozzarella and bake at 375°for 10 minutes.
by Anonymous | reply 18 | July 6, 2022 1:37 AM |
The thing is a person will be burping the canned taste all day long..... Just buy a chicken breast, some cheese, Romaine lettuce and cesar dressing. Shouldn't be more than 8 bucks at Kroger. Your belly will thank you for it.

Raisins
by Anonymous | reply 20 | July 6, 2022 1:42 AM |
Fry some onion before, then a tomato, then add the spaghettios.
by Anonymous | reply 21 | July 6, 2022 1:48 AM |
Don't be lazy and get out the fine china and your grandma's silverware. A good table presentation will elevate anything you serve.

[quote]Fry some onion before
Caramelize the onions. Perfect.
by Anonymous | reply 23 | July 6, 2022 1:53 AM |
Yep R23. We were poor. Mom always caramelized some onion then added tomato, then whatever the woman could afford. But it was always so delicious.
by Anonymous | reply 24 | July 6, 2022 1:57 AM |
A smart military coat and some nice trousers should do the trick, OP.
by Anonymous | reply 25 | July 6, 2022 1:57 AM |
EVOO. Mmmmmm, EVOO.
by Anonymous | reply 26 | July 6, 2022 2:28 AM |
Yes make 20 pounds of your favorite spaghetti recipe and add a can of Spaghettios.
by Anonymous | reply 27 | July 6, 2022 2:32 AM |
Buy the one with meatballs, OP. Be sure and savor their texture.
by Anonymous | reply 28 | July 6, 2022 2:34 AM |
Trade up to beefaroni.
by Anonymous | reply 29 | July 6, 2022 2:34 AM |
Add prunes
by Anonymous | reply 30 | July 6, 2022 2:35 AM |
Tasty!
by Anonymous | reply 32 | July 6, 2022 2:37 AM |
Spoonful of vinegar to balance the sweetness. Add some Italian spice seasoned ground beef/turkey and boulion powder. Diced tomatoes.

Chef Boyardee's best canned pasta is ravioli, regular and mini. Top with Parmesan.
by Anonymous | reply 35 | July 6, 2022 2:58 AM |
Pour it over a plain hamburger patty or slice of meatloaf and call it "Salisbury Steak"
by Anonymous | reply 36 | July 6, 2022 7:35 AM |
Julienne and fry bologna, add one cup miracle whip, one can corn and garnish with Pringles. Serve hot or cold as a summer entree.
by Anonymous | reply 37 | July 6, 2022 7:49 AM |
Dress it up like the Flying Spaghetti Monster... That always gets a laugh in our house and the kids love it
by Anonymous | reply 38 | July 6, 2022 7:51 AM |
Is it so hard to boil some pasta? Use either EVVO or butter as a sauce. Crush some garlic & rub it on the bowl. Chop little bit of onion. Some parma cheese. Voila.
by Anonymous | reply 39 | July 6, 2022 7:55 AM |
Came to say exactly what r15 said, leaving satisfied.

Not really, but you could dress up as Spaghettios.

[quote]Buy the one with meatballs, OP. Be sure and savor their texture.
R28 I hope to never have to eat Spaghettios again but if I do, I'll remember your advice.
by Anonymous | reply 42 | July 6, 2022 2:14 PM |
A fun, frothy little boa does wonders for any saucy little spaghetti dish.
by Anonymous | reply 43 | July 6, 2022 2:19 PM |
Several years ago, I bought some Spaghetti-Os just to see if I still liked them. I didn't. I tried to gussy them up with tomato paste, herbs, cheese, but nothing really helped.
Kraft Spaghetti Dinner tastes pretty good as is, however, if you're looking for something cheap.

R43 WTF is that?
by Anonymous | reply 45 | July 6, 2022 2:21 PM |
R44 Thank you. I remember my mom always trying to either dress up a meal or stretch it out by adding other ingredients.
by Anonymous | reply 46 | July 6, 2022 2:23 PM |
It's your mama, R45.
by Anonymous | reply 47 | July 6, 2022 2:26 PM |
You can dress it up by throwing it in the trash!
by Anonymous | reply 48 | July 6, 2022 2:31 PM |
A colorful trash bag?
by Anonymous | reply 49 | July 6, 2022 2:32 PM |
A mix with some cherry tomatoes 🍅 slices in half and a little oregano. Mix in a can of tuna before heating. Toss in some seasoned bread crumbs.
by Anonymous | reply 50 | July 6, 2022 2:35 PM |
I hope they're serving this salty low brow goodness for the billionaires on some fine china.
by Anonymous | reply 51 | July 6, 2022 2:36 PM |
R;8, are you also R15?

I picked up a can recently from the dollar store. It's a shelf stable meatless food. It's not good. The sauce is very sweet and the pasta is gluey. Metallic after taste. Everyone needs a shelf stable emergency food and water supply and this is a good option to have on hand if you don't eat meat but it is not good.

Prunes and cod class up anything.

[quote] A mix with some cherry tomatoes 🍅 slices in half
Yes. I have many simple pasta dishes and this is one of then though I use grape tomatoes (sweeter) - this makes a perfect pasta dish as well.
Also try cut up tangerines. Nice sweet taste to the dish.
