R3, did you even read the article you linked to? The police found no evidence of Bale being violent. It was generally thought it was a shakedown attempt by his mother and sister to whom he's not close to at all, or that's how it was reported back in the day.

On top of that, at the time of the audio leak of him shouting at the cinematographer there was talk in the net that the cinematographer was a total cunt to those below him and that was the reason Bale exploded at him since he'd witnessed it. Could be total bs obviously, planted by his PR team but who knows. I'm not a fan of his and generally find him irritating on the screen but I did enjoy his Batman. However I don't recall hearing any other incidents of him behaving badly which is why I doubt he's in the same league as the notorious Hollywood cunts like Bruce Willis and Mike Myers.

BTW, Grace Randolph, an independent entertainment journalist and a Youtuber, has been saying for quite a while that Henry Cavill has ruined his reputation in Hollywood for being so difficult to work with. He has trouble finding work which is why he had to go back to making tv shows. That said Cavill never really managed to break out as a true leading man in the movies which could be the real explanation.

I believe Murray punched Chase in the face because Chevy insulted Jane Curtin back when they were on SNL (Chevy had already left, Bill was his replacement the 2nd season). Bill had a crush on Jane and was defending her.

Bale may have rage issues, but I've never heard of him being violent. Being yelled at isn't pleasant, but it's not the same as being assaulted.

Also, I will forever give him credit for showing up at the hospital after The Dark Knight Rises mass shooting to meet survivors without notifying the press in any way. News about it only trickled out because the survivors themselves posted photos.

Cinematographers are notorious assholes, so are 1st assistant Directors (who are in charge of the set-- not the Director-- amazingly) A Cinematographer is an artist. An Actor is an artist. They are both trying to make their "Art" and sometimes one Artist's vision is different than another Artist's vision. They clash.

Bottom line: The two men apologized to each other, after wrap, like professionals, and the beef was over.

Bale does NOT have a reputation for being abusive. It was an isolated incident caught on audio, behind the scenes. If he had a reputation for being a monster on set, a flood of similar stories would have surfaced.

The thing with "nice" Hollywood stars is that it's usually a fake image hype. Like America's Sweetheart or the humble boy / gal next door. And Hollywood can't control the image narrative in the modern age of press and social media where the bad stuff is shared more often (and once it's out there, it's out there).
