Stepmother was a bipolar alcoholic who came into the marriage with 3 kids by 3 men, two had never met their bio fathers. I suffered tremedous emotional abuse every time my mother sent presents or money, or when a family member came to pick me and my sister up, she would scream, "it's NOT fair to my kids". I can sort of see both sides. Their kid together is the youngest so it’s not as if the father didn’t know the situation from the beginning. Did he ever do anything for the other three when he and the mother were ostensibly in a relationship? Those other children are his son’s siblings. They live together. They’re growing up together. Ultimately it’s McDonald’s, not back to school clothes or health insurance. He's probably going to have teach the kid to keep things on the downlow or do those things when he has visitation days. My girlfriend grew up in a situation in which her parents divorced when she was 5 and her dad made much more money than her mom did. The mom had a daughter from her first marriage and her first husband was killed in motorcycle accident when the daughter was a toddler. The first husband was 22 when that happened and whatever they received in Survivor's Social Security was low because he hadn't paid much into the system. They didn't have any life insurance policies. Several years go by and the mom marries my girlfriend's dad. Gf's dad did want to adopt the daughter, but the mom refused as the gf's paternal grandparents, aunts, and uncles were involved in her life and she didn't think it would be fair to them. The marriage doesn't work out and they get divorced. My gf's dad was able to take her to movies, amusement parks, sporting events, and other things. Whenever she was with her mom, they didn't do those things as the mom couldn't afford those things. The mom and the half sister eventually resented my gf because she had a father who was able to take her to various places or events. She said they would make comments like "Oh it's nice to have a dad who can buy you this or take you to Disneyland, college football/NFL games.". She said those comments in a sense did make her grateful that she had a father in her life, but at the same time it just led to her having guilt over things she had no control over. In adulthood, my gf doesn't have a great relationship with her mom and half sister. The woman in that video needs to be careful because while kids are growing up they catch onto things.

She has four children with different dads. It's her job to explain these things in a way that the children don't feel bad about it. She needs to use her creativity in raising her children as she does with her hair and nails and make-up.

She also needs to be aware that mothers who get pregnant by multiple fathers are at risk of maternal-fetal conflict. I'm not an evolutionary biologist but it's a topic that fascinates me. Pregnancy leaves "markers" of some kind in the mother's body and new fetuses somehow "know" if those markers were the result of pregnancies not by their father.

That spurs the present fetus to demand more from the mother's body until the mother's body in its survival mode says "that's enough, unborn young 'un" - from now on you are just getting enough to survive. That protects the mother's health. Not sure what it does to the fetus' development. But it also breaks a biological bond - at a cellular level - between mother & unborn. The mother's body, in essence, stops listening to the baby and I also don't know the cause or effect of hormones & chemicals mothers need to properly nurture. I also don't know if that break continues in some way after birth and what that can mean in terms of maternal instincts and the potential harm to the child. And if the broken bond does linger after birth, are there other factors that can ameliorate potential harms - like familial, cultural, religious, etc influences.

In any event, this maternal-fetal conflict could be a contentious issue, but it could be a way to solve some issues we hadn't considered before.
