It appears that Jerry was being very protective of old Rupert during the pandemic, and may have been aggressive in keeping people away from him to protect his health (I can imagine some of them not being vaxxed). An elderly man like him would be at high risk from COVID. Some of the fam may have misinterpreted her actions as keeping him away from the rest of the clan.

I see she filed for divorce today in California, and not in the UK where they were married and where she's been staying for some time. The laws favor women in CA, but that airtight prenup is not going to be voided or changed I'm afraid.

I can't help but feel that Rupert has been given some bad news and is putting his affairs in order.

I can see how his kids would be concerned and get tetchy if they weren't allowed to see their father. He'd been a victim of elder abuse at Wendi Deng's hands per Vanity Fair. I was actually surprised Rupert attended that belated 90th b-day bash in a tent alongside Tavern on the Green late last year, and surprised he attended his "Summer Party" at the Serpentine right before this divorce news blew. If they have an ironclad prenup, I don't understand the problem of Murdoch dying with Jerry as his wife. Does she become entitled to something more as his widow?
